“Perhaps a different meal, but not impressive. Had meatballs with second-baked potatoes and coleslaw. Needs a better recipe for the coleslaw. Green peppers weren't the touch. Potatoes were lukewarm and meatballs seemed like too many additives. Service was great and the restaurant was clean. I am sure baked goods would be excellent, as I know the Amish lady who bakes them. Perhaps one of their other dishes would be spot on.”

“Had breakfast last weekend. It has been redecorated in a quasi industrial look which if very appealing and fresh looking. Had the $5 special which includes 2 eggs, meat, hash browns and toast. You could tell the eggs were farm fresh by the plump yolks and thick whites, The Canadian bacon was lean and well cooked. Would definitely go back.”

“The atmosphere is truly quaint and county Amish Restaurant. The food is excellent and the service was superior. We held our Mother's Celebration of Life Remembrance Dinner in their party room. Yoder's was Mom's favorite restaurant and our guests all ordered from the menu. We were served promptly and no errors were made. The staff was accommodating accepting the flower delivery Saturday morning and provided a table for a picture display. Afterward we shopped in their country store and purchased some dessert to share at home. Special thanks to all the staff at Mary Yoder's Amish Restaurant. Mother would have been very pleased. “Normally I love this place, but I got to go tonight for the first time and was thoroughly unimpressed with the gentleman that checked me out. I ordered two cheese dips, and when I looked at my order there was only one bag of chips. I asked the waiter for a bag of chips for each of my cheese dips and he told me there was only one bag of chips allowed per order. I ordered two appetizers that require chips?!? Am I just supposed to drink the cheese? When I told him I had two cheese dips he said he could charge me $2.50 for another bag of chips. At this point I was done asking for what should have been given to me and said no thanks and left. Pretty chintzy for a place that allows you to eat unlimited chips when you done in. And I know my parents have received more than one bag of chips without even ordering appetizers that need them. Have they been adding to my parents bill without them knowing, or was this server just in a bad mood power trip? SMH”

“Maggie's doesnt just offer donuts but other simple fare, as well. Soups are pretty good. Coffee ok. The coconut covered donuts are yummy - when they make them - call ahead if you are interested in that particular kind. Most of the donuts are pretty good - there is a bacon one for the bacon lovers, blueberry, apple fritters, cinnamon, cake, glazed and more. However, to me (and, a few others), Maggie's donuts dont taste as good ?? There is a good variety but donuts are well picked over early on somedays. Just love chocolate covered and maple covered cream filled sticks ! But, what happened to Maggie's ? Where's the cream ? Not so much cream inside as they once had. My husband likes cake donuts but says they don't taste as good either. A friend and I would stop weekly, grab a donut and then head to McDonald's for a coffee to complement it while on our salvaging adventures. Today was the first time we stopped there in awhile. ☹”
