Had a really great waitress. Food was very good.

A Bob Evans is Bob Evans. Food quality, variety, and portions don't vary a lot because Corporate dictates everything. But this Bob Evans stands out to me because they are SO family friendly! Normally, walking in with 4 kids under the age of six gets one greeted with eye rolls and grimaces... Not here. All the staff smiled at me and all my kids and greeted them as regular paying customers. The Hostess even seemed genuinely iinterested in the school art show we'd just come from to celebrate- listening intently as my daughter chattered on & on about her clay pinch pot, as she let us back to what would have been a smoking section but is now the quietest spot in the restaurant. And the waitress engaged with each of the kids, making them feel like they were truly welcomed & special! What a blessing!

Not all Bob Even's are the same...sorry to say. The one on Airport Highway has a few good waitresses....especially Bethany. If they had 10 of her they would have awesome, consistent and streamlined service from top to bottom. Unfortunately that is not the case. Today my husband and I went in for breakfast, sat at the counter and left 8 minutes later. One of the cooks was annoyed that someone ordered a biscuit with bacon, sausage and cheese.....dropped a bunch of F-bombs. Poor attitude. A waitress was frustrated because her item was undercooked and was slamming stuff around. Seemed like no one there wanted to be working today. Long story short, we went to the Dussel location and had PHENOMENAL service! Heather the GM was on it! Staff happy and gladly took care of their customers. Didn't hear one complaint come from the cooks and we sat at the counter again. We will be going there from now on.
