Elsa's Mexican Restaurant

Love Elsa's! Bad Juan margaritas are always rated best in the Dayton area, we love the shredded beef enchiladas, the chicken quesadillas, and their always popular mini super burritos. Large portions at decent prices, but DON'T expect a romantic atmosphere! It's a bar with great Mexican food, and is often loud and boisterous.

I have not been to the original Elsa's in 25yrs. Does not look like much from the outside but the food was outstanding. I visit several other Mexican restaurants and like them very much but oh dear lord the food at Elsa's was so much better.

The wait staff was very good and took real good care of our party. Not much to look at and the restrooms need serious attention but the food and the employees were top shelf.

Been going to Elsa's 30. Years or more. love the food and atmosphere and as always the bad juans are over the top. Recently visited the original one on linden road. the one thing that is missing is a good salsa. This is the first impression you get of any decent Mexican restaurant. it tastes like straight tomato sauce. Go to work on a good home made salsa to complete the package.

Very enjoyable visit. Queso fries were delicious along with the always great tasting frozen strawberry bad Juan. The restaurant was not very crowded for once. Colder weather probably led to that. Service was exceptionally friendly and very attentive to their guests needs. Will definitely be back again soon! !
