Nice local bar and arcade. They have a lot of the older games we grew up on. Friendly and attentive staff. Will definitely go back next time I'm in the area.
For sure my go-to place to hangout downtown for a drink and a quick bite to eat. The deli has always been delicious, even since it was formally on Fifth Street. The overall atmosphere is what keeps me coming back. They have a cash jukebox with a good variety of songs to choose from that keeps things less annoyingly Top-40s and more memorable. Free play arcade games are there to keep you occupied, but not necessary to enjoy your time. The bar staff is wonderful and personable every time I go. I frequent often!
The deli side has a great variety of sandwiches, pizzas, and salads. More Importantly, the various sandwiches I have tried have all been winners. The beer selection is decent with a nice selection of local breweries. The selection of arcade games to play is nice and they are free. Pinball is the only game that might cost you some money but even that is fairly priced.
Parking is the only somewhat difficult aspect, but what parking doesn't suck in Dayton?
Really cool place. We found it online and it definitely didn't disappoint. We had a couple drinks and played old arcade games. It was super fun. One thing I don't know if I saw online when we found this place, you do have to pay for the pinball machines. Not a dealer breaker at all, just not sure if it is widely advertised. All of the other arcade games are free though and it offers a really cool atmosphere. Highly recommend stopping by.
The Canal Street Arcade is a very unique and cool place. It's like a bar, restaurant, arcade, and museum all at the same time. There are lots of cool arcade games and they are all free except the pinball machine, which cost more to maintain. This place is kid friendly with an adult up to a certain time, so maybe call ahead if you are traveling. The food is amazing, compliments to the chef, and they have a good selection of craft, domestic, and import beers. The bartender, Becky, was very cool and knows her stuff behind the bar. She is a fun person to talk to. Again, very cool place, I really enjoyed the experience.
