Salad was muy fresh. I recommend the five grain salad when you visit. Location can be tricky to discern the first time due to lack of a large sign that identifies the shop.

Absolutely a gem in Dayton. The pasta is next level delicious. Sandwiches absolutely amazing. Great sauces and butter and bread for sale as well. The staff is so friendly and helpful. Ready with recommendations and able to answer any questions.

Awesome, the sandwiches & desserts are delicious, the service is great. I just can say enough about this awesome restaurant. Grist is a favorite of mine. I am noticing the olive oil raspberry cake slices are becoming smaller and smaller. for the price of 4.75 per slice, this should not be happening.

We were so excited to see Grist had opened in a new location! We never got to try it while at the other location and we were beyond impressed. They have remodeled the inside beautifully, the service was attentive and welcoming, and the food was scrumptious!
You must try the Sunchoke soup. It was hearty and so uniquely flavored. Both sandwiches we got were full of flavor and the homemade bread was great! This will be our new spot—especially once they get their liquor license and start serving wine.
    Great job, Grist!

Best pasta in town. Honestly one of the only places in town where the quality is akin to what you would get in a big city. I never regret getting their pasta and letting whoever is working the counter guide me to a matching sauce. All that's left to say is go there and try it for yourself.
