“Stopped here during the Dayton Easter egg hunt. Ordered the "party in your mouth" (I can never remember the actual name of the dish). It was delicious. The scorched sauce was a wonderful addition and not that hot, all taste. The service was perfect. Nice ladies making the food and ensuring satisfaction. “For sure my go-to place to hangout downtown for a drink and a quick bite to eat. The deli has always been delicious, even since it was formally on Fifth Street. The overall atmosphere is what keeps me coming back. They have a cash jukebox with a good variety of songs to choose from that keeps things less annoyingly Top-40s and more memorable. Free play arcade games are there to keep you occupied, but not necessary to enjoy your time. The bar staff is wonderful and personable every time I go. I frequent often!”

“Pizza is divine. We had a deep dish with mozzarella, pesto, tomatoes, and banana peppers. Side salad was lacking though. Bagged salad with half a slice of tomato, 1 cucumber, one thin red onion slice and croutons. Lettuce to other topping ratio was way off. Frozen bits. Ordinary ranch. I wouldn't pay for it again. It was clean. There was a nice atmosphere. It is right across from the Shuster Center, so location was great. Bathroom was clean. The waitress held our leftovers until the show we were seeing was over which was appreciated.”

“Food arrived quickly and it was hot. However everything is overcooked. My fried shrimp is extremely hard can barely bite into it. My sweet and sour chicken the chicken bites are extremely hard as well in overcooked , and so are the egg rolls that I purchased everything is hard to chew on and overcook. The flavors decent overall, they could have did better with their fried rice it's literally just yellow rice with onions. Not bad but definitely not the best.”

“Food is standard fair for a chinese joint. The area in which most people would eat is kept clean and tidy and dimly lit. And they DO deliver. Overall, a decent Chinese place but otherwise indistinguishable from other Chinese restaurants in town. Just for Clarification: The sign on the window would imply that they host a lunch buffet. As of November 30 2018, they stopped serving the buffet at all.”

“Situated right on the Ohio River in downtown Dayton. Basil's ambiance is that of rustic sophistication. This restaurant is great for small, large and in between groups. Reservations can be made here and are recommended considering the amount of customer traffic they have on weekends. The server, Kelly, whom had something familiar about her, did an awesome job. Please be aware that the tip is added to the check at 20 percent gratuity, I believe it was. The food was delicious. The vibe was mellow and welcoming. The experience would have been ten times that if the weather had been more favorable. Parking available in the garage. Outdoor seating available if weather permits. There's a lot of things to like about Basil's On Market, but for the sake of time, that's all I got.”
