The name may have changed but I still call Water Street Tavern by it's god given name: Glory Days. This place started out as a tiiny watering hole on the far side of the bar strip just out of the main bar hopping scene which made it ideal for good friends to hang without the annoying 21 year olds fresh on the bar scene. It's since moved to much nicer digs down the street with a huge bar, 3 levels of seating, a great restaurant and a good sized stage for nightly bands to rock out. It has a loyal following of Kent State Students and Alum due in part to the owners Kent State heritage and eye for "All things Kent State" decor all the way down to the blue and gold floor tiles. Daily happy hour specials are uber cheap and offer the best bang for your buck so get there early, i.e. before 9p and you'll be drinking like a king. Tuesday is ladies night so the $2 drinks last until 11p. Bottoms up and let the good times roll.
