Restaurant

“If I could give this place 6 stars, I would. We spent a night at the Gardener’s Cottage and enjoyed a dinner with wine pairing and breakfast. In speaking to my boyfriend, we were trying to pick a favorite part. We couldn’t! The food was ALL incredible. I could go on and on about the uniqueness of each dish and we can’t wait to go back! On top of the food, the entire grounds is kept exceptionally clean. Highly recommend for a relaxing getaway!!!!”

“This is a great little place to stop with the family to eat and play a round of putt putt golf. Staff is friendly, and the food was fresh and came out in a timely manner even though the place was packed. Bring the kids bring the wife or bring grandma and grandpa. Has nice shaded outdoor seating.”

Shawnee Lodge & Conference Center

Address: 4404 OH-125, West Portsmouth, OH 45663, USA

Restaurant

“The lodge is magnificent! Very nice trails. Very well marked trails. My only complaint is that all the trails on the trail map are the same color and none of the trail names are listed on the map. The lake is gorgeous. Lots to see and do. Disc golf, game room, swimming pool. The lodge has rooms for rent as well as cabins and campsites in the woods. We will definitely be going back!”

The Smokehouse at Shawnee Lodge

Address: 4404b OH-125, West Portsmouth, OH 45663, USA

Restaurant

“We visited midday during the week so we were the only folks dining. Our server took extremely good care of us. The menu has a decent variety and the prices aren’t bad either. This was a much better experience than our last visit when it was the O-Hee-Yuh (or something similar) however our receipt did have the old restaurant’s name on it. Just something to be aware of when you balance your account. Only negative was the odd choice of background music for the restaurant which was piano music without vocals for tunes such as “Wind Beneath my Wings” and “I Hope You Dance.” It sounded more like a funeral parlor than a rustic smokehouse.”
