“When the place is busy, the steaks are actually better than when the dining room is slower. My guess is it's because the line cooks are focused and in rhythm. “People bring these bagels to work and they are delicious. My favorite is the asiago bagels. 13 bagels and 2 cream cheeses are around 15 dollars. A bit expensive if you want to take them to share the bagels are a nice treat on occasion thought. They have other things like pastries and you can get bagel sandwiches.”

I’m embarrassed to say that I ate three slices, because I was instantly addicted to the crust!, it’s so delicious. I feel the need to offer some advice to the other (clearly confused and very unfair) reviewers: 1) The alleged 4% credit card fee amounts to roughly $1 on a $30 bill - if you can't afford that, maybe you shouldn't be eating out? It also has never been added to my bill (even recently), so there's that. 2) Be sure you're reviewing the Samantha's you visited. The location on Portage is FAR superior to the one on Market, and the service is always very friendly and attentive at this one. 3) It's a great place to eat - OF COURSE it's going to be busy! Understand that going in, and don't go when you don't have the time to spend! 4) Folks who like bland breakfasts probably ought to go elsewhere. Samantha's consistently offers the most flavorful, creative, and just plain WONDERFUL morning meals in town. It's why they're so busy! :) Now, if they'd just make a tasty cup of coffee that's up to the superior standards of their entrees! (See also: ditch the bitter stuff you're brewing now!) Thanks!”

“Cultured Coffee and Waffles is a fun place to try. My friend really like the pecan chicken and waffles. The other choice we made was strawberry fields. Both were giant Belgian waffles which were crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. The specialty sauces on both were a bit skimpy but very good. The strawberries were super fresh and there was lots of whipped cream. The price of two waffle entrees and a small latte was $25. That seemed a bit pricey for a the funky small order-at-the-counter style food restaurant.”
