“Loved Loved Loved This Place! Stumbled on it accidentally when I pulled into Strickland's parking lot late one morning to idle for a few and plot my course. After noticing Oldies & Goodies just behind, I checked for info and reviews online then called my son to meet there for lunch. We both ordered the current featured burger which was a half-pound patty melt on rye with bacon, grilled onions and two kinds of cheese with hand-cut fries on the side. We also got an order of onion rings to share. Our waitress, who turned out to be the owner, offered to bring the onion rings first, which we agreed sounded like a good plan. Unfortunately, a fairly large takeout order plus an order placed from the bar next door monopolized the tiny kitchen so there was a bit of a wait and all the food arrived at once, but with apologies. It was definitely worth the wait! The burgers were buttery and juicy, overflowing with flavor. The O rings were tender, crunchy, absolute perfection accompanied by an unnecessary but thoughtful side of ranch. When the owner brought our check, she had comped my iced tea as a further apology for the wait, which honestly, wasn't actually outrageously long, considering that everything was obviously made from scratch in the tiny kitchen. Even though from out of town I'll definitely be back!!”

She handled the bustle like an absolute professional when most would have cracked under pressure. “I've been going to the Silver Swan for years and it's always been a good value for your money it is a nice little neighborhood bar on the front and in the back a decent little breakfast lunch and dinner place. The food is a pretty good quality and a very good value for the price the breakfast is always made fresh and the lunch and dinner specials and regular menu are always delicious. The food is home-cooked and items like spaghetti and meatballs are very good their hamburgers are very good as well and they have a pretty good variety on the menu. Their meatloaf is really good as well and they have a large salad but you can get for three bucks that is a good value to they charge a little more for cheese on it but it's one of my favorites. I just had the spaghetti and meatballs today and a newer server waited on me and she was phenomenal. The coffee is good which is always a bonus and she was pretty good about watching to see if I needed any as well as getting my food out to me fairly quick. I haven't drank at a bar for a long time but they have what seems like a pretty regular crowd it's not a large place but they do have bands from time to time as they have a small stage in the back restaurant area. I don't know if they rented out for parties they might years ago previous owners had a party there and I went as my brother knew them and it was a fun time so if they don't rent it out they should but they do have bands which is a bonus too. it is not a fancy place but it's not meant to be it's a nice little neighborhood bar with a small kitchen that puts out some really big great-tasting meals. It is family friendly so you can bring kids in morning afternoon or evening for any of the meals and he's not a fast food joint but show kids what good home cooked meals are like not using a microwave. The only reason I didn't give it a five-star is because it's not the fanciest place and there are a few servers that aren't as good as the one I had today. if there's one thing I don't like to have to do is ask for coffee refills or have to go get it myself and I've had to do that several times when I go for breakfast where I literally have to get up and go get my own coffee otherwise they would get a five star. I definitely recommend it it's hard to find good food like this at these prices.”
