“Best Damn Smoked Meats food truck is a true gem in the Akron area. This food truck has quickly become a favorite among locals, and it's easy to see why. First and foremost, the Texas brisket is an absolute standout. With a perfectly smoky flavor and a melt-in-your-mouth texture, this brisket is truly something special. It's clear that the owner takes pride in the quality of the meat, as each bite is packed with flavor and tenderness. But it's not just the brisket that's worth trying. The menu is full of delicious options, including the OG pulled pork sandwich, which is a classic that's hard to beat. The sides are also noteworthy, with options like big Vee's semi-famous vinegar coleslaw and cabbage and noodles, but my personal favorite is the potato salad. It has the perfect balance of creaminess and tanginess, with just the right amount of seasoning and dill. The food truck has an eye-catching design, and the staff are always friendly and welcoming. Despite being only a year old, this food truck has already become a North Akron food staple, and it's easy to see why. The only minor critique is that the coleslaw could be a little more flavorful, but it's still a solid side dish that complements the meat well. Overall, if you're looking for delicious and authentic barbecue in the Akron area, Best Damn Smoked Meats food truck is a must-visit. “We relished the food we had ordered from the recently opened restaurant. The crew's exceptional service and prompt delivery of mouth-watering dishes made us happy. We had to wait for our drinks but it’s because their (only) server had to multitask quite a bit. We devoured all the delectable items we had ordered, leaving little to no leftovers. Among all the dishes, my personal favorites were the Samosa Chaat and Indo-Chinese Gobi Manchurian with cauliflower. Oh, and their Chicken Tika Masala sauce was scrumptious. In our next visit, we will ask for more spice. Level 2 (medium) wasn’t spicy enough for us.”

“The pizza's was fresh the service was great. The only problem I had was that the White Guy in the back with the gray shirt on ( which everyone else had on the same color shirt so I think he was the manager). He was running his finger around pizzas and eating the sauce off his fingers then started preparing the pizzas putting toppings on it. Luckily my food was in the oven when I watched him do it. I told my son that's the last time I come back here.”

“Wow! 1st time, love it. I got the Grand Slam, hope the size of it shows up in the picture. It's a mountain of goodness and enough left of for lunch tomorrow. “This was our second time. It’s a bit pricey but the food is tasty and it is fresh and therefore doesn’t taste processed or oily. The portions are also really big and both times I’ve had leftovers. Their drinks are also creative and good. I know they are still working out kinks bc they just opened. We went tonight and the parking lot was packed and we had to circle around a couple of times. The bar was super slow to the point I cancelled my drink but the manager brought it anyway and comped it; we will definitely be back. It’s nice finding a restaurant in the area that isn’t a chain and their food really does taste freshly prepared. The atmosphere is great too. I’m giving overall 3 stars bc of the kinks that need to be addressed and there isn’t an almost 4 star option.”

“The food was really good! I've never gotten a burger from IHOP and while it doesn't beat out my top two burger places, it ranks pretty high. It was cooked perfectly. However, it did take over 30 minutes to get our food even though there was only one other table seated. This IHOP was really cold inside, so maybe their heater wasn't working? Our waitress seemed on edge as well. There are signs up that they are hiring so based on that, the waitresses attitude and the wait, I'm willing to bet this IHOP is understaffed and the employees are probably overworked and tired.”

“We were really impressed by this find! We were at Goodyear Theater for an event and had some time to burn. So we checked this place out, not really knowing what to expect. All I can say is that we were certainly very surprised with what we found! The ambiance is a very typical brewery style where they have a bar that you can sit at and where all ordering occurs. They have tables, both high top and low, as well as more comfy seating scattered around. There’s some games, both arcade style and table top. So it’s definitely a nice place for gathering and having fun. We ordered both food and beer. The beer was great and we learned that they’ve won various awards. The Water Balloon fight beer was nice and crisp and very tasty Hefeweizen. We also got a flight of 4 of their 5 IPAs and recommend all of them! We even got some to take home (although those are a bit pricey- mostly $15-$22 for a four pack). The food was where we were also surprised. They had a decent size menu that included many flatbreads, sandwiches, salads and a few starters. We ordered the Italian flatbread and the ham and Turkey sandwich. They were both really good and I would order again! The chips had a homemade dip that was tasty too. Honestly, the only disappointment that we had is that this isn’t located closer to us at home so we can’t go more frequently! Highly recommend!”
