“The French onion steak sandwich is an award winner, and I for one can attest to that claim. The chili is great, and so are most of their menu items. Service is great as well, no complaints there. The atmosphere is perfect for the crowd they are trying to reach. The only thing I wonder is if older folks can see the menu is the lighting they have, which can be a bit dark.”

“I am in town for a couple of days, and as a HUGE Zane Grey fan, I had to try it. While I would have liked a bigger showing of Zane Grey memorabilia, I was definitely not disappointed. The service was fast and friendly (I was the only one there, so I felt a little odd), and the food was great. I loved the salsa (and I have lived in Texas for more than five years, so I think I have a level of expertise). I could see the pie case the whole time I was eating, and I couldn't resist trying some. The sandwich I got was pretty big, though, so I got it to go. Love it. Very tasty. If I get a chance to return to Bowling Green, I will definitely keep Call of the Canyon in mind. Now excuse me while I re-read the book.”
