“Situated in historic downtown Guthrie, this Mexican restaurant is definitely worth a visit for the atmosphere. They have kept the bar that makes this an historic saloon, with lots of hard wood and stained glass everywhere. You can even sit at the bar to eat. There’s a large menu of Mexican food to choose from, though you won’t get the traditional American-style rice and beans included with your order (my grandson had some included with his Lunch Combo #2 that had a beef burrito). I had the Amigo Special, which was good. I didn’t really like the salsa, though I was told it was made fresh. It seemed to have a tomato paste taste to me. We added a large bowl of cheese sauce to our order for our chips, which tasted like the same sauce that is poured on your burritos or enchiladas. My conclusion is that I would recommend this restaurant for the atmosphere, but would recommend another for the food.”

“First visit to Boomerang. Staff is friendly and quick. We went on a Monday night and the place was packed! Burgers are half price on Mondays! Really good burgers. Price was right too; ordered two burger baskets (burgers and fries) and one burger to go. Our tab was a whopping $9.00! Cannot beat that. They have breakfast all day long, salads, sandwiches, yummy appetizers and fried pies. Recommend if you’re in Guthrie looking for some freshly prepared food. The interior has lots of interesting photos of celebrities to look at. It is a cute place to go”

“Nice clean room. Two double bed room is a bit on the small side, but was ample for 3 adults and a child for a couple of nights. Decent lobby area and also a small area on 2nd floor with couch and chairs. Good hot breakfast with typical offerings of some sort of hot eggs and cheese, sausage or bacon, waffle maker, fruit, oatmeal, pastries, cold cereal, juice, coffee, yogurt, etc.”

“The chicken taste like wet flour. It looked like it had been rolled in water then flour. then the outer breading rolled on. It was very light on the outside like the oil was not hot enough to make it brown. I have had to call ahead and have them cook the thighs 5 minutes longer I getting because they have always been bloody by the bone. At first we loved their chicken but have doubts now. Their drinks and sides are pretty good. The employees are very helpful and friendly.”

“Good food, but their sit-down area tends to smell like the bathroom. Not a used bathroom, but just a general "public bathroom" smell. We always get take-out to avoid the odor, but no need to be concerned for health-code violations. The employees are always nice, wearing gloves, hair pulled back and away from the food, and they always get the custom orders perfect! They don't even mind building the tomato-less food my Dad requests... Haha! :-) Great service, great food, but I hope they know the bathroom cleaner small lingers. A lot. God bless!”
