Small place with great choices to choose from. This little place is packed with delicious cuisines and is a little gem if you find out about this place. Love coming here for lunch. Don't let the area turn you away, nice people, great service, and awesome establishment.

The plantains were the best in the city. Not as exotic as I thought it would be. Everything tasted good, but just as others have said, the place definitely has Americanized its menu.

I've over looked this place for so long. They offer excellent portions, entrees come with two sides, swift and proper customer service, and my plate were prepared in all of 5 minutes. I tried the Jerk Chicken with plantains and rice/beans. Peach Cobbler is really good as well! This place will now be in the rotation! They also deliver thru Post Mates so give them a try. It was more than worth it!

Carican is a dining gem smack dab in the center of the black community of Oklahoma City.

Miss Sharon and her family makes us feel like family on every visit. My husband and I have been delighted there for years now. He almost always gets savory Red Snapper and Lamb Stew on Beans & Rice with Plantains & Broccoli. He loves it!
I ALWAYS enjoy Oxtail, Spinach Rice, Broccoli & sometimes Mac & Cheese. We add what looks like cornbread and Sorrel.
