I love this place! The chocolate cigar is to die for. They have so many amazing sweets—the heart cookie is great, as are the tarts. There’s a great selection of savory treats, sandwiches, and soups as well! A Norman/OKC classic that any visitors or locals would do well to visit. I come here every time I’m in town! Parking tip: they validate parking in the garage, so it’s free! No need to street park if you can’t find anything.
I come here for the smells. (: LOL if you’re looking for comfort food, get you some tomato basil soup with lots of fresh bread for dipping. Currently drooling thinking about it ????
Lots of choice for lunch including sweets. Prices are reasonable. Friendly service. Good stop for a quick bite.
Pretty Ordinary.
Went here for lunch on a Sunday...had high hopes based on reviews and pictures.
I ordered a Club Sandwich on a croissant. Deli meat was cold and the croissant was room temperature, not toasted. Bacon was cool and not very crunchy. Overall it was pretty flavorless.
Also ordered a side caesar salad...it was adequate.
Ordered up a stack of pancakes on the side (I was hungry). They were okay, nothing different than hundreds of other pancakes I’ve had. I had to ask for butter to put on them and syrup came served in small 1 oz cups...I had to keep asking for more. Would have preferred a large bottle of syrup.
Overall this place seemed like an pretty ordinary sandwich joint, dressed up in a hip, chic style
La Baguette in Norman has been a long time favorite of mine. This was my first time visiting the Deep Deuce location. The food was just as amazing as the original location. I am pretty sure that the bakery in Norman supplies all the La Baguette locations, because their product is consistently on point. The french pastries are dangerous. The chocolate mousse cake is a knock out. Their quiche is light but flavorful. Personally, I like a more dense quiche, but that is just a preference. They actually have a bigger menu than expected for their size. It was beautifully decorated and the staff was super helpful. My one criticism is that it was really hard to find parking. There is parking at one of the garages at the other end of the block for the restaurant, but because of the poor signage, we didn't find it until we were walking back to our car parked on a nearby street. Overall this is a great place much needed on this side of town.
