Great for a casual lunch.
I used to think Bridgewater was a really cool, retro dinner date spot. It has these elevated half-circle booths, facing a great river view. I half expected to bump into the Rat Pack. The best chowder ever, and these dessert flights things. But. My hubby and I chose this place for our 25th anniversary. We Made reservations and told them about our anniversary. We asked if we could be seated in a booth. We were told yes. Instead we were seated at a tiny table right by the bar and the entrance. There were other tables crammed into the same space, they were all anniversaries too. The constant traffic, who knocked things over, and bumped into me, pulling my hair, well. Thank you very much for the unforgettable night, Bridgewater. Too bad it wasn’t a positive one.
Lunchtime allows you to see the river view, so I’d stick to that.
Amazing everything!! from adult beverages, appetizers, entrees and dessert. Not to mention the jazz music in the background and Buzz the piano player! Wonderful ambiance! Our server was Beth, she was outstanding. We will be back!
Great lunch! Amazing atmosphere very cozy and romantic, with a fireplace and large windows to take in the view while you eat. Great service. Fish tacos were amazing and must try desserts too! Good drinks too. Affordable yet a more upscale feel. Love this place will be back!
*Edit* I can't wait to come back to Bridgewater! I've added a photo of their muffins we had on our first trip to Astoria as a side with our breakfast on a Sunday. Our first time here there was a man on the piano playing, many people, had a very special family feel. I enjoyed that very much. But the lemon curd with the muffins.. Omg i can't wait to get more!
A favorite stop of ours in Astoria. Very pretty restaurant on the water with excellent food. Don't miss the brunch! And kids will love the (ex-) pirate under the glass floor.
This restaurant is the one I like best. I visit plenty of restaurants but to this one I go the most. The team is very amicable and the food they cook is so good. I never miss an opportunity to have a good meal in this place. Highly recommended.
