“Great staff, food, and drinks. Sitting by the fireplace and enjoying some snacks on a rainy day was glorious. Definitely coming back here on future trips and likely going to stay at the hotel as well. We even got a quick room tour. The staff and service was really top notch.”

“This tiny bar with no sign and blacked out windows is my Frank Frazetta nerd fantasies realized. Norwegian food menu. Norwegian black metal playing...okay, I live in this bar now. Occasional live music and beloved local bartenders make this place an instant favorite for Astorians.”

“Some friends and I were visiting the coast for the weekend (from Washington) and had such a fun time with the expansive selection of arcade games and friendly/knowledgeable staff! They not only have a great beer selection, but the atmosphere of the location is jaw dropping to say the least! It is clean, and there is so much detail to make this location appear as if you’re in a sci-fi bar from some work of fiction. If you love pinball, or just looking to have a drink in a VERY cool place, this place is worth your time.”

“Good food & courteous/efficient service in a clean & pleasant atmosphere. Great views of ship traffic at the mouth of the Columbia River. Only open since March 2021, no liquor license yet! 2nd visit: Apr 1, 2022: liquor license in hand - drink offerings looked on par, with 4 breweries in town beer selections could have been a lot better. We had the crab boil with SEA house special sauce - excellent, & with all the needed tools. Sea otters in the river was a great "extra". Can easily become a "when in Astoria" required stop.”

“What a great job they did of modernizing without taking the old timey memories out of Peter Pan Market. They have all the fun old school candies, sodas and beer, odd and end items that you might need to finish putting a supper together and some better quality snacks. I ordered a roast beef sandwich, it was really great. The bread was fresh and really good, all of the ingredients really seem to be high quality. Of course the potato salad is always a winner. How fortunate we are to have such a wonderful neighborhood market available to us.”

“We came to see out neighbor perform, so glad we did! Perfect date night. Great atmosphere with warm service. The charcuterie board for two was more than the two of us could eat, very filling and delicious. We enjoyed the wines recommended us, even though we don't consider ourselves to be regular wine drinkers. Will definitely return, especially on another music night. It felt like a special night out and were glad we went.”

“This small pizza spot has some of the freshest toppings I've had on pizza in a place like Ktown. The crust is a little on the thinner side but still has a really nice bite to it. Their pizza is also not very salty which is a huge plus for me because you can taste the freshness of the ingredients more this way. Prices are very reasonable and pick up is quick, about 20 minutes. The only downside is that parking is difficult and there isn't very much street parking available..be prepared to park in a red zone, put your blinkers on, and pay for your pizza and run back.”

“So incredible, I literally CRIED! The owner recommended salmon fish and chips. Another employee confirmed they were amazing. It was truly one of the best meals I've had in my life. The salmon was super fresh and breading was light - not greasy. Melted in my mouth. My daughter had the grilled rockfish dinner. Her fish was incredible and "salad" was so much more than expected - asparagus, beets, etc. Best best best ever!”

“Many of the sandwich options looked really good and I’m not here to only compliment the flavor of delicious sandwich I chose (the chicken one), but also to compliment the waiter who answered my questions about the sandwiches and their popularity. They kindly gave me information until I made my choice. We were regularly checked on during our meal in a non invasive or interrupting way. Our table felt private, the environment was calm and nice, clean and chill. I will go back next time I am in the area. Refills were prompt and we felt paid attention to. They altered the menu item to suit my girlfriend’s diet. The food was good, but the service made the experience.”

“Better than Bow Picker! Nice lightly breaded fish and chips. Large cuts of fish with generous portions. We had the halibut, prawns and chowder and were impressed with the food and rapid service. It was clear that fresh herbs were present in the chowder and great care taken in the preparation of our fish. Kudos!”

“Great lunch! Amazing atmosphere very cozy and romantic, with a fireplace and large windows to take in the view while you eat. Great service. Fish tacos were amazing and must try desserts too! Good drinks too. Affordable yet a more upscale feel. Love this place will be back! *Edit* I can't wait to come back to Bridgewater! I've added a photo of their muffins we had on our first trip to Astoria as a side with our breakfast on a Sunday. Our first time here there was a man on the piano playing, many people, had a very special family feel. I enjoyed that very much. But the lemon curd with the muffins.. Omg i can't wait to get more!”

“They were very understanding about my dietary needs and the waitress even went to the back and asked the cooks about the seasonings used in the fajitas when I was concerned it might have sugar in it. Very helpful! The rice and bean servings were a little small and I had to eat both mine and my husband's in order to get 4 oz rice and 6 oz beans. However, the salad was huge, as requested! Surprisingly, it wasn't too expensive. I recommend!”

“This is the quintessential mom n pop, super laid back, bright and roomy cafe. Perfect! Breakfast all day and you coffee cup is truly bottomless! If your rolling through Astoria, it’s a great place to stop. Great staff, Swedish pancakes, good coffee. It’s so good, they have several locations spread around the northwest Oregon area!”

“Wonderful coffee and some of it is organic. It taste like only fresh roast coffee does cause they roast it right there. Nice variety of food with lots of vegetarian items. Comfortable couches and a rocking chair as well as table and chairs. Very airy warm feeling place with friendly staff. The sale shirts sweatshirts, mugs, small filter and press forms of coffee makers. I got some burlap bags I plan to use to protect my outdoor plants. It will be one of my regular spots.”

“Busy AF when I went, but still... my wait for fresh chicken was reasonable, the lady's working were pleasant and had good customer service even though you could tell they were stressed and rushing to complete orders. And my chicken was still properly cooked, not half-arse fried or soggy. I was just passing through, but I wish the 3 KFC's nearest my home in Portland were half as good when they aren't slammed busy.”

“What an amazing experience to spend a Friday night at the Portway!! Charming 'dive' with interesting history, great food, and friendly locals! Cindi, the karaoke host, was a true professional and put on THE BEST karaoke show we have ever seen! A truly fun professional who made it welcoming for all! A must for anyone looking for an awesome bar experience in Astoria!”
