Bandon Coos bay Coquille North bend

Babbini's Paninis

Address: 1860 Union Ave, North Bend, OR 97459, USA

Restaurant

“This was a decent sandwich place. I definitely would like to try what else they have to offer. Everyone liked their sandwich, me included, though I did not pay attention to it having mustard and I am not a mustard person. The mac was pretty decent as well. I like that they have little twists on things and look forward to trying some other creations.”

Hawaiian Grindz

Address: 1055 Virginia Ave, North Bend, OR 97459, USA

Restaurant

“This place was delicious. Spam wusudi, pineapple chicken. The chicken was soft as can be. Large portions. Very impressed. Since being here the Captains choice was great, this place great, blue heron terrible and the boat worse. Only thing I don’t get is why no one uses air conditioning. Dang it’s hot people.”

North Forty in North Bend

Address: 2076 Sherman Ave, North Bend, OR 97459, USA

Restaurant

“Came on a Friday night for dinner. Thought we were early enough to beat the busy time but forgot about the sip and stroll. Even still, they were plenty attentive and the service was fantastic. All the staff were great and our server went above and beyond! The building was nicely decorated and seating was nicely spaced. All seats were hard wood which was a bummer but we were optimistic. The food, on the other hand, was just ok. Don’t get me wrong, everything we ordered was cooked perfectly and served beautifully. It was just lacking in flavor. We started with appetizers. We ordered a Korean corn dog and the Elote Croquettes. They sounded amazing on the menu and looked incredible when they arrived. Problem was, they were both super bland in taste. The chorizo had good flavor in and of itself but the thick batter muted it down. For dinner we ordered the Jamaican Salmon and the North Burger. The salmon was cooked perfectly and probably had the best flavor of all the foods we tried. Individually, the rice was decent but the curry just tasted like canned stewed tomatoes and onions. Combining the rice and curry did work better. The North Burger was cooked perfectly (medium rare) as were the fries. The biggest issue being that the burger must have been plated before resting because the bottom bun was completely soaked through before the food got to the table. The components of the burger were all great, but ultimately nothing really popped to give it any excitement. We finished with cheesecake and again, we were not impressed. The texture was more gritty like a quiche and lacked the creaminess you’d expect from a dessert. The caramel glaze was tasty but didn’t fix the texture. Worth mentioning, the prices were affordable. A date night under $100 with 2 appetizers, 2 meals and a dessert is almost unheard of. But there was nothing good enough to lure us back to try it again.”

The Human Bean

Address: 1509 Virginia Ave, North Bend, OR 97459, USA

Cafe Restaurant

“Just a drive-thru but the vanilla latte was outstanding. I got a snickerdoodle cookie which was a pre-prepared thing which was okay. Nice little touches they serve to chocolate covered coffee beans with your drink. The server was friendly.”

Back Street BBQ

Address: 1611 Virginia Ave Suite 168, North Bend, OR 97459, USA

Restaurant

“"Back Street BBQ" is located just inside the door of Pony Village Mall in North Bend, Oregon. The restaurant is set up for "to go" service, but there are multiple tables available inside the mall lobby. I wish they offered a sampler plate so I could've tasted all the different meats without breaking the bank! Most of their single meat platters cost around $23 with 2 sides. Most of their sandwiches cost around $18 with 1 side. They also offer smaller "slider" sandwich meals starting at $11.50 with 1 side. Being a lifelong fan of Texas barbecue, I ordered the Brisket Sandwich ($18), with "Cowboy Caviar" as the side. There was a brief, enticing whiff of BBQ smoke upon opening the box, but it quickly dissipated. There was only a little bit of mild smoke flavor in the huge meat chunks on my sandwich. (I did ask the staff, and they apparently always serve their brisket in chunks, not slices, including on their brisket platter.) At the same time, it was definitely barbecued and not "pot roast-y" at all, so I was glad for that. The portions were amply sized, and the Cowboy Caviar side dish was excellent! It's a vinaigrette-based bean salad made with black-eyed peas, red beans, corn and sweet peppers. Haven't seen that on many menus in the PNW, so it was a rare treat! They offer two BBQ sauces, sweet or hot; both were similar in style, thick and cloying, probably based on ketchup and honey. Both sauces were tasty and would be well matched with their pork ribs, chicken or pulled pork. I asked about their cole slaw, whether it was creamy style or vinegary, and they told me it is sweet and includes diced pineapple, which was new to me. Their menu also lists desserts of bread pudding and butter cake, but what I saw in their display case this day was pre-packaged "Nazook," a rolled Armenian pastry filled with walnuts. Overall, this is not the traditional Texas-style barbecue that I'm always hunting for, but it is interesting enough that I want to go back again and explore more of their menu.”

Humble Hippies Artisans Cafe

Address: 1611 Virginia Ave Suite #113, North Bend, OR 97459, USA

Cafe Restaurant

“Love this place! The potatoes are to die for!!! They of course will happily check ingredients but also have several options for dietary restrictions. I also love that they support local artists and give them a place to sell their work. They've done a good job choosing who displays in their store. Definitely stopping by every time I'm at the mall.”

Clausen Oysters

Address: 66234 N Bay Rd, North Bend, OR 97459, USA

Restaurant

“Our second time at Clausen Oysters. Good news, they have more outside tables and indoor seating! And of course they still have delicious food and excellent service. I had raw oysters on the half shell, and they have fried oysters too! They were delicious as was the poor boy and my wife enjoyed her fish and chips. The Cole slaw and fries were also very good. We love this place!”

Munchiez 247! - Creative Culinary/World Food Court

Address: 635 Virginia Ave, North Bend, OR 97459, USA

Restaurant

“I saw this place on door dash so I figured I would call them directly. I ordered a 1/2 lb of Smokey chipotle, buffalo and honey garlic wings. We stopped at my family's house to eat and they were soo good my dad and I drove right back there and we ordered a 1/2 lb of captain morgans apple, bbq and Parmesan wings and they were just as good, if not better. It's really nice to have a place in town that puts hard work into more "simple foods". Best wings in the county without a doubt.”

The Big Cheese

Address: 775 N Front St, Coos Bay, OR 97420, USA

Restaurant

“We ordered a 2 double cheeseburgers, a western burger and a pizza grilled cheese. They were all just okay and not as big as expected for the price. Buns were good though. Fries were definitely not steak fries, but were fine. No sauce on the pizza grilled cheese and not enough BBQ on the western. Total was $62. We are sticking with Yeong's.”

Frying Nemo Oregon Coast LLC

Address: 775 N Front St, Coos Bay, OR 97420, USA

Restaurant

“My first time coming here was today, I ordered the 3 fish tacos, minus the cheese. The tacos were absolutely delicious, the fish was nice and moist and not overcooked, the spices the cook added was really good, had some heat to it with the homemade salsa, and the homemade avocado sauce provided some sweetness to cool it down. I recommend the Frying Nemo if you’re looking for some delicious seafood that’s truly homemade and not too expensive. I’ll be a returning customer for sure.”

The batter was light, the seafood was fresh and delicious, the location and floating patio were charming, and the service was friendly and attentive. Highly recommend!”

Yu's Chinese & Sushi Bar

Address: 835 S Broadway, Coos Bay, OR 97420, USA

Restaurant

“Went here on the very first day they opened so it’ll probably improve, but i figured I might as well post early!. This is a wonderful new Asian restaurant featuring great Japanese and Korean cuisine with tons of variety. Even though it was the first day the waitress and chef were more than happy to make slight accommodations for my allergenic requirements upon my request. Over all I’d say 9/10 but only since I expect they’ll be more in the grove of things as time goes on ^w^”

Bandon Brewing

Address: 395 2nd St SE, Bandon, OR 97411, USA

Restaurant

“Location is nice with parking on the street. They have both indoor and outdoor seating. Food is OK and the beer is good but it takes forever for the food to come out. You walk up to the counter to order your drinks and your food. In addition to our drinks, we ordered chicken wings, two pizzas, burger, a BLT sandwich and two wraps. The pizza's came out fairly quickly, in about 10 minutes. The food ordered from the kitchen, took ridiculously long. About an hour after the pizzas came out, our order of chicken wings came out. Then about half an hour after the chicken wings, our burger and BLT sandwich came out. Then about 30 minutes after the burger and the BLT sandwich came out, are two wraps came out.needless to say, our groups did not get to eat together because the meals came out so sporadically. I don't know if this is their way of getting you to order more drinks or what. But if you do decide to go here and order food, I recommend sticking with the pizzas and don't order anything from the kitchen. Unless you have a very long time to wait and don't mind your group eating separately.”
