“Definitely get the specials when they have them! We got the deep fried shumai tonight, and yum! The crispy catfish salad was unlike anything I've ever eaten, but it was fresh and tasty and left me with room for dessert. So we ordered the mango sticky rice, which was awesome! A great blend of flavors, textures and temperatures (the rice was warm). So good! And the server in charge was very attentive and friendly, even though she had a trainee and was trying to do a million things at once.”

“I would like to give this place a 4.5 but that isn't possible. The only reason I knocked it down to a 4 instead of 5 is simply that they don't offer lunch at the same time as breakfast. I know that may seem odd or strict, but most "breakfast/lunch" type diners offer both from open to close, and had I had my choice, I would have preferred the lunch menu. That said, the food, the service and the atmosphere was all good. Nothing amazing enough to make a full 5 star experience, but definitely a solid 4.5.”

“We are new to Lapine and didn't know where to go for an early birthday celebration. We found Badlands and we were so impressed!!! Great ambiance! Tasty and creative food! Wonderful service! And a cocktail menu that made it so difficult to choose!! They also have fun food carts as well. “Gordy's Restaurant was a pleasant experience. I'm an over the road truck driver who really appreciates the old fashioned truck stops of days gone by. I stopped in on a Sunday morning and they were fairly busy. I sat at the counter and didn't have to wait long before the waitress took my order. Within about twenty minutes my breakfast was served! The waitresses all seemed pleasant and one even took the time to check to see if I needed anything even though I wasn't in her section. The food was delicious and at a reasonable price. The restaurant was spacious and clean as well as the rest room. Gordy's has a modest, old fashioned country ambiance and the employees make you feel right at home. If you drive a semi, the parking lot is large and paved with no pot holes! Make sure however to follow the truck entrance and exit signs, it really helps the flow of traffic. There are several diesel pumps and a convenience store but I didn't go there so I can't comment. Enjoy!”

“Wow, the love Trinity has for her pizza creations is remarkable! The food truck operation, outside Shandy’s, is the way she serves up this delectable goodness. We stopped in last night, hung out with Patrick his dog Roudy and some of the regulars. So many old school video games, and of course bowling too. Trinity and her pizza joint is truly a hidden gem! Can’t wait for her karaoke performances on Fridays and Saturdays. Love how La Pine is getting some great venues and services, finally!!”
