We went here every week when we lived in Eugene for our tradition- Waffle Wednesday. So many great memories made at off the waffle! My husband always got plain waffles with nothing on them and I always tried their delicious seasonal specials. I will definitely go back to visit whenever I’m in town.
A unique experience in waffle heaven! Not your average waffles. Gourmet flavor is a comfortable atmosphere with reasonable prices. Try the downtown location if you enjoy some live music while you eat or the South Eugene location if you'd like a little peace and quiet.
For the waffles here, the batter contains a certain type of sugar that gives it a distinct taste. Having tried the original liege waffle in Belgium, this place comes close to serving a "real" liege waffle. To really savor the distinct taste of the liege waffle, I highly recommend eating this waffle plain or with a hint of butter or little syrup. That way, you can really see the difference between the liege waffle vs normal waffle.
For those who like the dense kind of waffles, with almost a challah-like texture, this is a good spot for you. I found the waffles buttery and addictive, even as they had a different texture than I've experienced in the past. They also had a slight sourdough flavor that I found appealing. Never having been to Belgium, I can't reflect on the authenticity.
My wife and I love it. One of our favorite spots in Eugene, and we never miss a chance to go.
Relaxed atmosphere, amazing food, kid friendly, eat at a table outside with your dog, unique and small restaurant.
It can get crowded from time to time, but it's worth a wait.
