Ciddici's Pizza Downtown

The best pizza I have had in 25 years! And the JoJo's were great as well. The staff was very attentive to proper handling of pizza dough, and preparation of product.

Regarding the JoJo's, they had been cooked in clean oil, and fresh flour mix. The flour mix was not too salty, but good flavor.

The pizza reminded me of Shakey's for those who remember that. I haven't tasted that in a long time. No one makes pizza like this anymore. They even age their dough, which is a lost art. Aged dough is the best dough.

Ciddicis has been around for quite some time. They have always had a really good pie. Kind a staple around this area. I haven’t met anyone who hasn’t liked them. They have other great food to. Salads and fried potatoes are some favorites. I went with 4 stars as the last few years it seems like something has changed. Lately the pizza is excessively greasy with and exorbitant amount of cheese. It gives me terrible heartburn and It never used to be like that. Also the price for a pie is about $20 -$25 which isn’t terrible but if you need to get a couple pizzas it adds up and can be really spendy. Nonetheless I do like there pizza and would recommend trying it out if you haven’t.

I ordered delivery from Ciddici’s Pizza Downtown while staying at the Comfort Suites on Opal Court NE while on business in Albany.

Delivery is order-by-phone which was pretty quick and easy. It’s a popular restaurant so it takes a little while to be delivered but it is definitely worth the wait.

I ordered pepperoni, sausage, and mushroom and all I can say is it’s fantastic! The crust is excellent with the perfect crispness and the cheese and toppings are super fresh and tasty. The sauce has a great flavor too.

If you’re looking for great pizza in the area I would definitely give them a try.
