Met friends for Happy Hour. Atmosphere was beyond my wildest expectations for a dinner house in Salem. It is cozy in the bar. Friendly staff that know the menu and will recommend items if you give them a hint of what you like. Each time I've been in the food was excellent. Have been back 4 times and this is now my go-to place to meet with friends.
Good atmosphere during the holidays to get your upscale steakhouse fix. My wife's Chicken Marsala was very good. My wagyu was tasty and priced for the atmosphere. Good date night place, but maybe not a place I'd go with my friends.
Reservations are a must, unless you want to dine in the bar. Which that was fine for us. Staff is friendly and attentive. Down side service was a little slow and it's pricey. But the food was delicious and the bar tender knows how to pour a drink.
Incredible service. Amazing food. Everything from the seafood appetizer to the perfectly steamed asparagus, exactly medium rare lamb chops and loaded baked potato were spectacular. I could not say enough about the marionberry cobbler I was too full to finish but wished I could. Will be returning as soon as the pocketbook can afford. Worth every single cent.
First things first, this is a fancy class restaurant.
When it comes to rating places like these, I feel the rating should be fairly strict.
I will start with the food. It's sort of has the effect of, it's expensive, so it taste better. Though this is a nice trick our brain plays, it doesn't work all the time. I did take some time to rethink that dinner I had, and I feel I can give a bit more of an honest answer. I think the biggest thing I had with the New York Strip, was that it felt a bit grainy. It is an unfortunate thing to taste when you spend that amount on a steak and the restaurant is a steakhouse. I don't believe this was on the chief, but likely more the cut itself, which wasn't the best. Fortunately, it was salted perfectly and was a nice size. The mashed potatoes were absolutely delicious that I even order a side to go. It brought my rating up to a 4-star.
Alcohol selection was phenomenal. It does have a full bar, so this area had no complaints. Plus a VERY large selection of Wine.
Ambiance, again it is more of a location to have a date night or business dinner.
Service is where I was the most impressed. Waitresses were very friendly, attentive, patient and understanding. I say patient and understanding, because we had a birthday dinner with a fairly large group on a Monday Night. We weren't the most organized or quite group unfortunately. None the less, they did a spectacular job by keeping things organized and orderly. Granted, it was a Monday night and it wasn't the busiest there, but still extremely impressed.
I will come here again, but only on special occasions.
