Sisters Irish Bistro

We delighted to find this little gem below Reeds Opera house. I suggested trying the house specialty of O'Sullivans mash. But it appears whatever you get it will be wonderful. If you are a dark beer fan, try Irish Death.

Today, I had the pleasure of experiencing a heaping slice of Ireland tucked inside a historic masterpiece and topped with the kind of perfectly executed classic Irish kitchen cooking that transports the diner seven thousand miles in the time it takes to consume one home cooked meal. Sister Irish Bistro, a true labor of love for the multi-generation family that runs it, offers excellent service, freshly prepared classic Irish cuisine done right, and an atmosphere that is nothing short of perfect. Located in the below ground level of the historic Reed Opera House in downtown Salem, it is more than worth the trip whether you're entertaining large groups or just want a quiet drink (anyone looking for a place to get a perfectly poured Guinness, look no further). In one night, Sisters Bistro became one of my favorite places to simply be. You won't be disappointed.

Listen . If you want genuine and exceptional irish fare, get down there. Perfect atmosphere. Tonight there was a musician playing guitar, flute and harp. Great service. We ordered 6 different plates among our group and everything was delicious. Couldn't keep my fork on my own plate. ????‍♀️

Love this place. They have live music and are doing breakfast now. Always great food.

Hidden Gem in Salem. We were driving through and found this spot! (Hint..its downstairs at the old opera house). Great food, great beers and great staff. Many of the recipes are from the owners family....delicious!! Highly recommended and we will definitely go again !
