Romantic getaway perfection. My husband and I loved everything about our stay except the weather and that was definitely not the resorts doing. Love to do another getaway in the warmer months. Cozy cabin feel, delicious food, excellent massage, and a night visit to the outdoor hot tub. Next trip will include a trip through the garden in bloom guaranteed.
I wanted to surprise my wife with a late birthday getaway (Christmas Eve baby). I heard about the room/restaurant package in this lovely setting outside Silverton and knew this would be just right.
She had no idea where we were going (pack a bag and a nice outfit). She figured it out as we passed through Hubbard.
We caught final night of the beautiful “Christmas in the Garden” Lights at the The Oregon Garden. We stayed at the resort, had a nice stroll in the garden, enjoyed a drink by the fireplace in the lounge, and had a wonderful meal (scallops & shrimp, mushroom ravioli with steak) with excellent, attentive, and warm service by Sara(h?)in The Garden View Restaurant.
The room was very nice and we liked the in-room fireplace on a cold, wet evening. It was also cool to see Stacy, the front desk manager, who used to work with her mom and my wife. Everyone was friendly and helpful.
Thanks! What a pleasant getaway and the dinner package fit the bill!
Absolutely one of the best places I've been to near Salem. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone. Adults and kids. So much to see and do. Ice skating, tubing, unbelievable lights. It's amazing.
The Christmas lights were beautiful! The small booths set up selling a variety of one of a kind goods were a pleasant surprise. Food and drink were both good. Santa Claus was fun too. Tubing and ice skating looked like fun had the weather been a bit better and had I more time to play. I am excited to return in the spring to see the Garden in all of its glory!
We stayed here last August. It was a very nice weekend and we will definitely return:
Food: We didn't eat dinner in the restaurant but had happy hour in the lounge and it was fine. Breakfast was very good, everything fresh. Good coffee.
The room: Nice, very comfortable. Bed not the best and bring your own pillows. The room was very clean and quiet.
The garden: fantastic! Everything maintained well, pleasing to the eye and the ear. Well worth the time and price of admission. Having it included with the room added value.
Tram tour: Wild Bill was our driver and we really liked him, he was very pleasant and informative, he made it a real treat. The tram tour gave a wonderful overview of the garden that made us want to explore.
All in all a great experience we would recommend highly.
