The Garden View Restaurant

Great food and service. Rather strange layout and bright lights at the tables keeps it from being five stars.

We were disappointed in the food at this restaurant. Of the three dishes we ordered, the best was the salad made with local berries, goat cheese, and hazelnuts. We also ordered a French Dip. It came with very little roast beef. The BLAT sandwich was served with an underripe tomato, in the middle of tomato season, and barely enough avocado to notice. However, the bacon was tasty. The staff were polite and helpful but we would not return. We thought it was expensive for the quality we received.

Restaurant is part of the hotel/spa above the Oregon Garden. Has a wall of windows that look out over the top of the garden. I go there for lunch - enjoyable, not too crowded during the week, and welcoming staff. Prices are reasonable and food quality is quite good. Also have a nice selection of wines. Usually have one of the wraps or salads - all fresh and tasty. I generally pick this restaurant when in Silverton for lunch. Note: you don't have to pay the entrance fee to the Garden to eat there, just drive thru the main Garden entrance and follow signs to the hotel.

This place is a gem! Nestled above the sleepy town of Sioverton Oregon, the Gardens offer a relaxing and slower pace of life. Sprawling and well maintained gardens cover the hillside. The Resort offers condo style rooms, a wonderful breakfast, pool and hot tub. Staff are friendly and the view of the valley is beautiful too. It's worth the time to stop and take this place in.
