I can't say enough about this organization. What they do, who they are, and the food they serve are all why I support them wholeheartedly. Eat well, feel good, and do better for Portland. Could you ask for more? Thank you Stone Soup for doing what you do in our community. I'll see you soon~ Heather
Stone Soup is a beautiful hidden treasure. Their food is delicious and healthy. The staff are kind, patient, and bright. There is keto, vegan, and GF menu items. All staff are from corrections and are working to gain a great skill set in the kitchen and at the register. To top it off, all their chairs are donated and on the back of each is a plaque stating where it was donated from. How cherishing!!
great food. got the squash curry soup with a beet salad. it was delicious! beet salad was awesome. staff super sweet. LOVE the concept of training and giving to the community. great idea with good food
A wonderful restaurant with a mission. Delightful, fresh, original food prepared by people experiencing barriers to employment to help them achieve self reliance in the food service industry. Stone Soup is organized as a 501c3 and is truly dedicated to their mission.
I experienced the Auto-Bohu Mi Steamed Buns and the Gazpacho soup (melon today). I must say that I haven’t experienced better food anywhere. The presentation was beautiful and the freshness was off the chart. You can’t go wrong for lunch here. It’s an easy walk from on the fringe of the Pearl District.
A delight from beginning to end. Friendly staff, delicious soups, salads and sandwiches, a full spirits, beer and wine list and an owner who can mix up a mean cocktail... and on top of all of that, a non-profit organization whose mission it is to end homelessness in Portland, starting by putting great people through a 12-week training program for hospitality job placement. You can't ask for more. A tasty lunch counter just by itself, then top if off with a great cause... I'd come in for lunch every day!
