It's a good place for homeless and low income individuals and families to get a meal and do barter work to get a meal if you don't have a meal ticket.
Good alternative place to eat. Awesome perspective on community. The share plan works great here, people can help out for a free meal or use their own food stamps to get a punch card or just use your cash. They usually have 3 main option for each meal with several option to combine with it. Must go in to make reservation n be back in time for it (I think you can call for reservation too) and some homeless people (acceptable one's) prefer this place because of restaurant atmosphere, menu options and cheap prices.
I bought a meal for myself and homeless guy I knew. Had a fabulous homemade meal I hadn't had in a very long time. Ridiculously cheap or free meals for homeless or low income people. Cafe run by all volunteers, they get tickets in exchange for the delicious meals.
Always full of folks who care and are willing to meet you where you're at. Good food and great programs. Sisters has been such a big part of the Portland community and has worked with other groups in Portland and elsewhere to help work towards sustainable and long term solutions.
I'm so impressed by everything behind the scenes. There is such a high level of conscientious care that goes into everything they do.
This is an awesome restaurant for the homeless. The food is always fresh and prepared daily. The workers are great people who understand homelessness and never judge you. I always felt at ease and comfortable and welcomed here.
