Tall Boy Fish & Chips

The best fish and chips I've had in a very long time. I had the halibut fish and chips and everything was just simply perfect.

I've never written a review before, but the food was so good I felt the need to do this. First, and most importantly: the fish. Such a simple batter, but so well salted. It held up to the squeeze of lemon which provided such a nice brightness to everything.

The chips on the side are nice thin fries and honestly good enough to have on their own. If you end up ordering food from another cart, I would order fries from here, just due to the fact that they're so much better than what's offered at some of the other carts nearby.

My order also came with a side of tartar sauce and a light slaw. The sauce added the right amount of richness to the fish and the slaw a wonderful balance to the whole meal.

If you're worried about eating out due to the state of the world or the coming cold season, their food can be ordered through delivery services.
I had thought for a while I simply just wasn't enjoying fish and chips anymore, but this place renewed my love for the classics. This is just great ingredients standing on their own, and wonderful and warm people that believe in their food.

Solid fish and chips! Super nice and quick service. Great fish, battered well and cooked perfectly with fries and sides. Choice of fish? You got it! Halibut, Albacore or Cod.

Some of the best fried fish I have had in years, incredible quality and they take pride their food. I will be going back to the Hawthorne Asylum food carts just for them! I also don't like to give 5 stars often but I had to give it up, they do it right. The Fried Cod on 7.05.2020 is what earned them this review.

Feeling #blessed because Tall Boy Fish and Chips relocated from PSU to the Hawthorne Asylum food cart pod.

Since they've arrived I've visited twice, and will probably continue to come back, because their food is so good.

Today I had to-go order of their new fish slider, a single order of fish, a large slaw which is amazing, and a jalepeño lemonade which came out to $20 including a $4 tip.

The food is fresh and high quality and it's such a pleasant reprieve from the quarantine food supplies I'm working through at home.

Excellent food, quick & friendly service at a tasty price. That can't be beat. I'll definitely be back!
