The Woodsman Tavern

I love everything about the new Woodsman except the smiley face on the sign. I know this is highly critical, even petty, but it really focks things up. Like a weird doormat you notice when you are arriving at someone's doorstep for the first time. It really shouldn't matter, but it does. And there is no coming back, just flung out into space, hurled to a point in the cold distance.

Wonderful meal and server. I can't wait to go back soon! The only change I would make is how incredibly noisy two other tables were while we dined for our anniversary. We had to yell across the table to hear one another.

My wife and I and another couple tried The Woodsman Tavern yesterday. We sampled a good variety of the Happy Hour offerings including the raw oysters, a shrimp cocktail, wedge salad and smash burger. The burger especially was outstanding with their own sauce and just the right amount of crispness. Save room for dessert - the unique Stinging Nettle Cake and Baked Alaska were fantastic. The Snackers were like a very high-end Snickers bar. Good service. Highly recommend.

Been here many times in original incarnation when it was hard to get a seat. So glad to be back once again. This was as good as before. Fresh oysters, great drinks, strip steak and half chicken done to perfection. The roasted carrot side was so good. And I can't say enough about the service - just outstanding.

So happy to have this neighborhood spot open again! Such amazing service and the friendliest staff. The drinks and food were delicious and great quality. We will be back!
