“The food here is amazing. I’m a hard person to please with my food. The Dv8 burger took me on a mini vacation I felt so good while eating it every bite melted in my mouth. A couple people ordered the steak ???? and it smelled amazing. I wanted to steal a bite. It just lofted through the entire club and you could see everyone looking over to see what food had been brought out. Super yummy. Lots of drink choices. Obviously, more importantly sweet and sexy dancers ????????”

“I can't believe I've never written a review for Sapphire Hotel. I've been coming here for about a decade. If you like great atmosphere and a dizzying array of cocktails, this is your place. They even include a small glossary of terms for the more obscure liqueurs and bitters. I'm usually the fruity drink person, but I love their variation on the Old Fashioned with a giant cube, while my wife (vodka soda) gets the Popular Drink which comes with Pop Rocks! They even have a page of build your own classic cocktails based on the price point of the liquor you want. It's really a treat. I don't think I even realized they had entrees until the last time I went. I always ordered off of the small plates and shared. They were really an incredible surprise. I don't even remember what I got, I just remembered all of us want to go back. It's a local treasure with a lot of history. You owe yourself to go.”

The primary spirit often overpowered the drink and none of the other ingredients could be detected. For the price and all the fancy in-house tonics, syrups etc, I had much higher expectations. This is far from a "premium drinking experience".”

“Good cheap Chinese-American food that comes out piping hot, cheap drinks with solid pours, attentive bartender and fast service. No taps at bar, just bottles and liquor. Hot and sour soup was really good, and portions on combo dinners are generous. General Tso's Chicken was way more saucy than I'm used to, but was pretty good. BBQ pork, fried rice were both solid. Wasn't blown away by the food, and it's clearly been here a long time. But it fills that particular niche that only old Chinese restaurants seem to, in a strange nexus between outer Portland and the 'burbs. Not someplace I'd take a date, but I do come here to write.”
