“The bad - prices can be a little high. A chocolate croissant is $4.15 which is pretty high, and some of the other baked goods are a little steep. They're good, but I would come here twice as often if they were a little cheaper. Sandwiches can take a while to be made. I was the only one in the store and it took about 12 minutes to make one sandwich for me. The good - food is really good. Tuna melt is fresh and satisfying. As far as I know, pretty much everything is made fresh daily. I would check this place out at least once if you live in the area.”

“Had No Idea This Gem Existed! I just had the best steak salad EVER. The roasted mushrooms were delicious, light on the dressing, great melding of flavors. For vegetarians, it would be super good without the steak. Now I have to keep going back to try all the other menu items! Staff is friendly and fun and clearly very creative foodies. Run don't walk!”

“Boozy donuts are always a plus! Creative and artfully made. Small pickings though in the village location so if bringing the kids with you who have less than a sophisticated palate, get their early.”

“Baker and Spice is a place that is worth driving great distants to experience. The bread is a treat. The sweets are so good that they will bring tears to you eyes. One can order specialty items for holidays, birthdays, and anniversaries. All are marvelous. There are daily specials available for lunch that are interesting and good. I think they appeal to ladies, but I am guy. When in Portland, Baker and Spice are a must. Go and see.”

“Happy hour is very affordable. Food is delicious. I'm not a fan of tofu, but the BBQ tofu was so good! The cocktails were great, service was a little slow, but overall very happy with our experience.”

“Great breads and breakfast sandwiches! I'm a big fan of Sausage Egg and Cheese biscuit and a coffee. Busy on the weekends and worth the wait.”

“Excellent cinnamon rolls and biscuits and gravy. Fresh and flavorful with more than fair prices. The coffee really is free. We will be back to pick up a quick breakfast before our Sunday walk on the Oaks Bottom trail. Also, Nana is a sweetheart.”

“Great food, FAST service. I want to say thank you to everyone here. Our daughter gets very excited around groups of people and screams. Not once did they make us feel bad or give side eyes. As we were leaving the cook looked at our daughter and told her to have a good day. It's the little things people don't realize that make a difference. Thank you, we'll definitely be coming back! Also, love the community table idea.”

“Nice layout to the location, never crazy crowded from what I can tell; but having to remember to ask for every little single-use item you could think you might need while you order is rather irritating. I ordered a hotcakes meal and unfortunately had to go back to the counter at least 3 times bc NOTHING else came with the food. At least once I did have the needed tools, my cakes were as classically soft and delicious as always :)”
