“Great service above all, the food wasn't bad either. All of the restaurants in town were closed for varying reasons, this was the only one open and handled the crowd of people beautifully. We got a Taco Salad & Smokehouse Omlet”

“Passing through while we make our way back to NC. We’re from WA & moved last spring. This place looked good and it did not disappoint. Salad bar was good and had everything you can think of for toppings. I got the 1/4 slice of a large pizza and it had two slices & was perfect with the small salad. I got the Hawaiian. The dough could have been just a touch more done but it was very good. Also cute women’s bathroom. Nice to have clean bathrooms. Good service, decent prices. They have arcade games too! Lots of reviews so you know this place is popular. We’re documenting our whole road trip. Best restaurants & places to stay from WA to NC.”

“Amazing place to be on a Friday night! I give it 99.9 stars out of 100! I loved that there were American and Hispanic waitresses, I don't see that almost ever in a Mexican restaurant the boss was actually interacting with his staff and laughing with them and his customers they all were consistently checking in to see if we needed anything at all . And they did not forget my husband's birthday at the end. The prices for the meals were so good not to mention the meals themselves. So tasteful ( kudos to the cook!) Muy sabroso! Muchisima gracias for a great bday dinner date we can't wait to travel back just to bring the whole family!”

“Always great food and service. They're BBQ pork is so fresh and moist. I love their general's chicken. We bought six dinners and two appetizers for 100 so highly affordable”

“This place was a total surprise! Holy mackerel! 15 out of 10 on this spot! WE GOT THREE DIFFERENT TYPES OF SALASA! So hype. So good. I ordered the Fajita Quesadilla and man-o-man was it top notch and filling. The service was absolutely incredible. Forgot their names but shout out to each and everyone there for the wonderful hospitality this evening. You guys ROCK! Glad to have stopped here.”

“Sometimes it's the little places that have the best food in town...! Definitely a good place to stop by and get some good food, some of the best burgers in town. Big hamburger patties & not Gracie. I found this place to be better than the other Burger joint just down the road that does drive-through only. The staff here is definitely even more friendlier and very helpful. I'm a truck driver with a big belly, the food servings here are more than enough to fill a hungry trucker's belt...! I did upgrade my Hous-Western-Burger to a combo with extra big fries, the dipping sauce for the fries is pretty good to me as well.”

“This little hotdog cart is off the beaten path, but worth the search! This is defiantly the place to be if you like all beef hotdogs! I have tried roughly half the menu and everything has been good. The service is top notch. Seriously, give this a go for lunch some day soon.”

“Nice clean store. Prices reflect the new "living wage" demanded by unskilled laborers these days. All in though pretty good for ucky fried ick. My mom loves the place. Will return. Potentially after winning the lotto.”

“Cool, little burger joint in a small town with not that many other options! I liked the old school vibe and the staff were very friendly. The food was okay, and very well priced, however, it was nothing special. I had the "fire" burger and yam fries, and there was not too much spice to it.”

“Cool western spot, amazing breakfast and Why hasn’t anyone ever told be about the potato cake?!!! Didn’t even know it existed but it was the best thing ever! It was huge and filled with bacon 🥓 😋 great price! Also biscuits and gravy so delicioso! Love the fact that you order as you come in and take a look at the menu on a board, then they seat you, smart and great time saver! I’ve already recommend this gem💎!”

“I walked across the street from The Landing Hotel to grab a milkshake and a sweet treat. The Local offers handmade ice cream, pastries, tea, coffee, and sandwiches. I ordered a Blue Moon Milkshake (raspberry & other flavors), a pecan huckleberry scone and a piece of banana bread. It was busy and I received my milkshake in about ten minutes The milkshake was thick and had great taste. The scone and banana bread were both very moist and not really sweet. I enjoyed the the fun atmosphere of The Local and came back the the next day for a raspberry Italian Soda. Located on Adams Street in La Grande across from The Landing Hotel. A nice place to stop for a frozen treat, pastry, drink, or sandwich in a renovated Texaco Gas Station with friendly service.”

“Boy can they make a girl happy! The Shirley temple was just perfect, and the food was hot and fresh. The atmosphere was friendly and fun, and I’ll be back to cheer the guys on at the next pool game”

“The service was great, that's the only reason I gave it ⭐⭐⭐(3)!! The food however, just being honest, was eh. After reading reviews I couldn't wait to try the Turkey Noodle Soup . . . Soo so disappointing. It taste like flour and starch, and literally had ONE noodle and ONE sliver of turkey in it. We also started off with the sampler, the mozzarella stix had no cheese lol,, and the mushrooms were still cold.. On the other hand, my bf ordered the Hot Ruben sandwich, and it was delicious 😋 I had the Philly sandwich, it was ok. All in all, the service and atmosphere were great, but I don't recommend going there for the food.”

“We stumbled upon this place after seeing it shared the name with our Doggo! Such an awesome little place! Loved the quiet and serene bookstore/cafe vibe and the food was amazing! They had a cardamom roll (cinnamon roll with cardamom) that was out of this world! We ended up getting a second one to go for a snack later! We had a house salad, and their entree with soup. All of which was so fresh and full of flavor! We enjoyed ourselves and the food so much I forgot to snap pix before we finished them, hahaha! Next time we are on this side of the state we are definitely planning on coming back!”

“A must! They have a great menu and the food is delicious! I really liked their peanut butter burger, and their fries is just right! Gets busy later in the day, so right before 5pm is a good time! Oh and the staff are incredible! Super friendly!”

“Unassuming in all the best ways. Cute local pub/restaurant where the focus is on AMAZING food! Very clean and the service was friendly and prompt. Their mismatched country coffee mugs add a warm and cozy vibe. We were two people from Eugene/Corvallis area who ordered four plates...the long branch breakfast, corned beef hash, biscuits and gravy, and one hot cake. Everything was outstanding!!! Best corned beef hash ever! Biscuits and gravy was very flavorful, sausage was hand flavored and mapley, and hotcake was the perfect combo of light and fluffy, and not too sweet so it paired well with their quality maple syrup. Highly recommend and we will definitely be back!”

“This place is great, more drinks than you can taste! They update their selection pretty often as well. But the best thing I think is the Reuben pizza, it is so good!! Also the side room still has bar games! If only they kept the local breweries Oregon Fog on tap, I would never leave.”

“The Betty is maybe the best breakfast sandwich I've ever had. Delightful people as well and carefully prepared espresso.”

“This place is a little gem. I mentioned I was gluten free and there was very little on the menu I couldn't have. I even went vegan with my meal choice and it was wonderful. The staff are very attentive and there was no wait for anything. I look forward to coming back with friends.”

“With it being the busy holiday season I wasn’t sure if Spring could fit us in! Thankfully she was able to make it work and we had the most beautiful high tea experience for my daughters 9th birthday party! Highly recommend!! So much fun!”

“WHEN AN UNEXPECTED FIND TURNS INTO A PLEASANT SURPRISE. This review is based solely on my experience and personal opinion. I went to the Thai Fresh Gardens restaurant on a Thursday Night, 12/2/21, and it was my very first time. PLACE: That night I was very tired and sleepy but yet I forced myself to go out and find a nice place to eat. I eventually decided to join my friends and go explore La Grande on a very cold night. We parked our car and started walking and while strolling around we spotted the unusual golden elephant statues standing in front of a building entrance. We decided to get in and follow the signs to this Thai Fresh Gardens we had just seen on the entrance glass door. We went down the stairs and all of a sudden it was like we had just stepped into a different world... a world of its own... a sort of underground world, welcomed by a fountain and a narrow path going all around a elf-like village. on the sides of the path many display windows, many doors and many pretty decoration. I felt like I was walking around a Christmas village.... such a pleasant feeling. At some point, along the path, you can see a big open room with a long table and fabric Art frames.... then medieval style windows and then a Caribbean tree with colorful parrots and pretty birds. We had just found the Thai Fresh Gardens restaurant.....what a pleasant surprise. FOOD: We ordered Thai Fresh Gardens Fresh rice, Yellow Curry, Crispy Chicken Pad Thai, Thai Vegetable Egg Roll, Broccoli and Meat and Tom Yam Soup. All of our meals were tasty and well prepared. I loved the fresh ingredients and the combination of sweet and bitter. I tried each and every of our orders and my favorite was the Thai fresh gardens fried rice, and in second place the Thai Vegetable Egg Roll with Tofu. I did really enjoy them. Just remember, this is no fast food restaurant, so you have to wait for them too prepare and cook your food, regardless of what you order. CLEANLINESS: The overall cleanliness was very good and they would come and clean the table as soon as the customers left. STAFF: The young girl who served us was nice and helpful, friendly I would say. She took photos of us, She explained the Menu for us and did her best to meet our needs. Very customer oriented person. Less friendly and customer oriented was her mother, who, in all truth, could not understand English very well. PRICES: not as cheap as you would expect from a restaurant in La Grande OR, but it's the only Ethnic food restaurant in town, also portions are big and flavors are there, so, it is worth the money. CONCLUSIONS: I genuinely enjoyed it and I would definitely go back again. very positive customer experience and a very good vibe.”

“I have shopped at Nature's Pantry for years but just recently started ordering from their juice and salad bar. Their wraps and salads are delcious. My new favorite lunch spot! The staff are nice, respectful, and very knowledgable.”

“The GREEN GODDESS dressing here is the best!! I stop here every time I'm in town and get a lunch chicken wrap with extra green goddess dressing on the side and a side salad with green goddess dressing! Definitely recommend it more for lunch than dinner, as the wraps are not served at dinner time and the pasta dinner options are not my favorite. But definitely go for lunch!! The staff is very friendly as well and they have a fairly large outdoor seating area.”

“Absolutely love going to the Market place! The fries are to die for and can’t go wrong with a cheeseburger from here either! Personally, I love the ciders they have on tap so that’s a plus! A big upside to this place is the rooftop. You can eat outside up on the roof with others and typically not too many people are up there so it’s a nice breeze to cool you down on a hot day and to just relax and eat your delicious food!”

“Why visit fast food spots when your meal can make memories! A charming traditional 50s style diner with great hospitality to match. We stopped in for dinner on a road trip and it was brilliant, far out shining any mainstream fast food alternatives.”

“They offer very inexpensive lunch options. Hamburger was very good, fries not so much. Extra charge for credit cards however pricing very good. One way to keep prices down. pizza was tasty.”
