Very pleasant Friday night visit to this popular Beaverton (suburban Portland) casual dining spot. Space is open plan, in a newish commercial strip.
Small bar was busy, but service was prompt and friendly with server Sarah. Enjoyed a well made cocktail, as dinner res was slightly delayed due to the nearly full dining room.
Well done menu has plenty of choices. Nice fresh salad with interesting add-ins. My shrimp and grits was very tasty and bubbling hot. Still, with a name like Wildfin, I would have expected more than a single item as a fresh seafood special. My partner enjoyed her crab-stuffed cod dish.
Wine list was sturdy, but not exceptional. Overall, an enjoyable evening. Not inexpensive, but worth the visit.
Wildfin American Grill has knowlegeable and friendly staff who make you glad you came even before you order. The menu is amazing and all items are locally sourced. Our food was exceptional in preparation, taste and presentation. Don' t forget dessert! We had the Bananas Foster bread pudding. Indescribably delicious!
Wildfin is an open, airy and welcoming restaurant space in an unlikely strip mall location in Beaverton. We found the service first rate and a menu ready with fresh items of seafood and other standard lunch fare. I would rate the seafood dishes and smoked chicken salad five stars. The lowlight was the French dip which under perform to the other dishes by quite a bit. I really liked Wildfin and look forward to our next visit.
I like the concept of this place -- local suppliers, sustainability, and all that. The staff was really nice and helpful. The food did taste pretty good -- though the broccolini was tough, and the trout was dry. It's really pretty expensive; the menu is not very descriptive -- they don't describe the garnishes or sauces, for instance; green salad isn't on the menu; the decor is pizza parlor. Yes, we'll go back occasionally, but it won't be on our go-to list.
