“We had the greatest experience with Shari's Cafe and Pies in Bend, Or for our wedding. Two days before the wedding they notified us that they could not get a certain flavor we had chosen and offered us the available flavors. The pie we chose in replacement of the out of season one ended up costing more than the original flavor we had chosen and they swapped it at no extra cost to us. “New owner has done a great job refreshing the interior, as well as offering delicious locally roasted coffee (Farmers Union). Staff is friendly and bagels were fantastic. I had bagels and lox and really loved it. My kids like the chocolate and blueberry bagels. They offer several breakfast and sandwich options. The space is also kid friendly, including kid play table and toys. Bathrooms were very clean. Well done!”

“Wow, who knew that Shari's a mainstay of Bend is an establishment that I've driven by for 15 years and yet have never stopped is outrageously great! From the delightful hostess, Irene, who is the best manager and team player doing everything to run this well healed machine to the server, Andy, who is not only hilarious but attentive to his customer's needs. Matt, the chef was fantastic! Perfect salmon, who makes good broccoli, Matt does Red cleans up every table as if it were his own. I met some wonderful people here and will be coming back soon. “I'm visiting at Bend Oregon from Seattle. I came to eat some bakeries for breakfast around 8am. Parking lot was full but you can park across the street. I ordered warm Raisin Cinnamon Roll, Almond Croissant and Cappuccino. After waiting for my drink...already long lines. I find this to be a popular place. My cinnamon and almond croissant are light taste and not so sweet. Cappuccino is a great flavor. I enjoyed watching the customers and dogs. Love that atmosphere here.”

We have been several times and have the same great experience each time. It can be busy on the weekends - so prepare to possibly wait a bit before you get seated and just remember the wait will be worth it! While you wait you can order a specialty coffee or enjoy the house drip coffee and a pastry/baked good if you choose. Man, haven't even gotten to the food. Ha The food is super yummy! Really think there is something here for everyone to enjoy. So far, we have enjoyed multiple breakfast options and their veggie sandwich with turkey and a tossed salad. So yummy! “By far one of my favorite coffee shops in Portland! I have been a consistent customer at their drive through location for a while and was stoked to find out they opened a coffeehouse. According to the staff, the owner works with coffee roasters to create their espresso blend and it definitely shows- some of the best espresso I've ever had! Their cappuccino is killer, and the staff is always so nice and welcoming. Great local business to support if you're into coffee.”

“This is actually my first time here. The store seems nice and slightly smells of baked goods. They had nice music playing which i think was a little too loud. I also find it odd that it was being played live for a bagel location. It seems... Unnecessary? But nice nonetheless. Overall the service was pretty good, and all staff treated us with much kindness and willingness to help. It seems like maybe they're trying out a new system in how they serve that seems a little too complex and out of order. The staff also seemed to be struggling slightly with the setup. As for the food: bagels are of some of the better ones I've had in the area. It's not what I'm used to from New York but definitely worth a try. The breakfast sandwich I had was tasty, although the sausage was too salty. Even so I was able to enjoy it completly accompanied by egg and cheese on a buttered egg bagel. Their selection of cream cheese could be better but it is alright enough. The cream cheese is good but not really remarkable in any fashion. Just good ol cream cheese. The coffee was pretty good as well. I'm struggling to leave this as a 4 star review because I think they're definitely headed for a 5 but i think the location could make some important reasonable changes to hit that mark. ------- I've returned here a few times and service has been much better. Since I'm travelling between Portland and Washington I haven't had time or ability to order a breakfast sandwich, but they have done a great job. The staff is still super nice and awesome. I think they're definitely a 5 star :D”

“I'm a real donut lover. I seen it new donut locations wherever I have the chance. I was thrilled to find another donut establishment. I must say when I first walked in I wasn't sure what to expect from the quality of their donuts because they didn't have a big selection like I was expecting. They were only about a dozen choices maybe. For as big as the building is you would really think they would have more choices. I was more than pleasantly surprised when I tried a tropical delight donut because it was one of the best donuts I've ever tried. There were so many flavors packed into this one diamond donut. A lot of their donuts have alcohol in them which I have also never tried. The apple cider fritter was okay but something I probably won't be trying again. That tropical delight on the other hand is something I would drive miles out of my way to get another one of. Oh and a quick heads up, the donuts costs about $12...I know, but seriously try the tropical delight.”

“The 4 of us had a wonderful breakfast. I was the only one who hadn't been there before and their hype about Screen Door lived up to its name. The Shrimp & Grits were perfect, seriously. Hopefully they do Salmon with Grits soon, I'd be back soon for that childhood favorite! The Pecan bacon was a first for me, it was rich and a fantastic shareable. Pricey, so we can't visit all the time, but I'm definitely treating myself on the regular.”
