Great outdoor patio, love the Maibock and the Australian Pilsner is hoppy enough to satisfy the IPA drinker in me, and a fun trivia night on Wednesdays. Sadly the menu keeps changing for the worse. Our first food order there were fries with an amazing housemade relish and beer cheese. That was taken off but the shoestring fries were still great and a nice shareable portion. Now the fries have changed and they shrunk to a single serving size and the margarita pizza is soggy. Oh well, we'll still go for the beer and atmosphere but I'm sad about the food!
When we travel we love to find local places to dine or have a drink. My wife and I went a year ago and stayed for hours, enjoying their good variety of beers and listening to jazz on the patio. Staff is inviting and fun.
We were back in Pittsburgh and were able to enjoy Homestead Live Fridays, this time with live Bluegrass!
Highly recommend spending evenings at Golden Age. The beer selection is diverse and expanding. Food is excellent Pretzels and tacos rocked).
Delightful beer garden with love music venue and indoor/outdoor bar. I wasn't a huge fan of the beer selection (mostly German beers, but maybe that's your thing) so I selected a cocktail and it was really balanced and refreshing.
Plus, the food menu was top notch! These snacks are way better than your average bar fare, with elevated flavors and playful combinations. Try the kimchi hotdogs!
Golden Age has done an excellent job taking over this space. I love the beers, if you like Pilsners, Larges, and kolsch style beers then this is right up your alley. Weekly events from trivia to live music. They have food on site if you're looking for a place to eat.
The space is really nice inside, a lot of the wood is recycled from another bowling alley. They have a lovely outdoor beer garden. Also it isn't far off from the Three Rivers heritage trail (GAP), so on those nice days you can bike over for a cold one and some food.
pretty nice place, we got the kielbasa and the confit wing, both was a little underseasoned for me, but was good all together. the beers are awesome, and the guys behind the counter are nice.
