Bird on the Run

Our first time trying Bird on the Run, looking for somewhere new. Employees were very polite and friendly. They give you alot of food for the price and it was delicious. The Bird sauce was different but good. I would definitely return!

Had the 5 piece tenders #3 on the heat. Pretty good. I will go back and get nuggets next time and then the chicken sandwich!! Skip the beignets as they are just a frozen block of some kind of fried dough covered in powder sugar and tasted like they were fried in with the same oil as the fish. I will be making a return trip for the chicken!

Quality food from the new Bird on the Run location in Penn Hills. I think this is where the BBQ spot once was (or maybe it was a car wash, I don't remember). Bit hard to spot, but worth giving them a try. I ordered the fish nuggets and beignets.

Yes, I did order fish at a chicken place. But, I was surprised at how good it was. The fish was fried to a perfect crisp. The sauces they served with the fish complemented it nicely. They chose quality ranch and great honey sauce. The honey sauce came for free, probably with all orders, and you get a choice of an additional sauce (I chose ranch). The texture of the fish wasn't perfect, but I know this place is known for their chicken. I might have to come back and give it a try. Great price!

The beignets were also quite good. They are heavier and more doughy than most beignets, but I really liked them. A heavy dusting of sugar complemented these dough balls, and the portion was great for the price.

All in all, this is a great chicken shop and I think their fish items were solid. Great beignets but not the most traditional. Fantastic prices and great portions.
