40 North at Alphabet City

Had dinner here last night. Interesting menu: lamb dishes, some Georgian and Eastern-European ones. Well-prepared and tasty. Particularly enjoyed fried mushrooms and potatoes, braised lamb wrap, borsht.

Was looking forward to khachapuri but this dish was disappointing. Was expecting a classic adjaruli version - boiling-hot sulguni cheese with raw egg mixed in, in a shoti bread bowl. This one was a small cheese-filled wrap. Need to go to an authentic Georgian restaurant for the real thing (none in Pittsburgh).

Very good service and pleasant atmosphere.

The prices are a bit high (especially the wine), but overall this is a very good addition to the Pittsburgh dining scene.

We enjoyed our dinner very much.

We mainly ordered some small plates, all of which were terrific - and the portions are larger than most similar restaurants. The service was superb as well!

This place is incredible. The atmosphere is intimate a bright the service is impeccable and the food is just pure magic. Highly recommend!

Had a fabulous dinner with friends and enjoyed every dish we tasted. Started with cheese bread and beet and yogurt “dip”. Entrees were trout, burger and chicken. All Yummy! Service was exceptionally good. Will be recommending to friends and family for sure. FYI the beets as a side were amazing….perfectly cooked and sauced but all the sides were nicely done.

40 North is a great addition to our neighborhood. My partner and myself shared a salad, I ordered the half chicken, and she ordered the lamb chops (a special that night). It was all utterly fantastic and delicious. The chicken was perfectly cooked with crispy skin and the sides were delicious. We also ordered a few cocktails which I thought were well priced and well made. We can't wait for our next visit.
