Great find, delicious sandwich! Quick service, plenty of seating for such a small place.

AU BON PAIN IS ONE OF DOWNTOWN PITTSBURGH LITTLE SECRETS. ITS A SMALL CAFE THAT SET'S ON 7TH AVENUE IN DOWNTOWN, PITTSBURGH PA. THE CAFE SPECIALIZES IN BREAKFAST AND LUNCH MEALS. THEY MAKE FRESH SANDWICHES, SOUPS, SALADES, WRAPS AND BREAKFAST SANDWICHS AND THEY HAVE SOME OF THE FRESHES PASTRIES IN TOWN AND I MUST SAY PEOPLE ONE PASTRIE IS BIG ENOUGH, FOR 2 PEOPLE TO EAT FROM IT. THEY ARE DELICIOUS! AU BON PAIN HAS BEEN IN DOWNTOWN PITTSBURGH FOR A NUMBER OF YEARS. THERE ARE SEVERAL FRANCHISES LOCATED THROUGH OUT DOWNTOWN PITTSBURGH. I PERSONALLY KNOW OF 3 OF THEM. THAT I FREQUENT AT, DEPENDING ON WHAT SIDE OF TOWN THAT IM ON. SO WHEN YOU GET A CHANCE AND YOUR IN DOWNTOWN PITTSBURGH PA, CHECK OUT AU BON PAIN. I PROMISE YOU WON'T BE DISAPPOINTED.

I have usually had good experiences here but on my last visit, as I'm standing in line to order, the girl behind the counter deiced to skip me and take the next order from someone that had just walked in rather than me. No way that she did not see me as she made eye contact with me on several occasions. Wont be going back there for a while. My money spends everywhere so if they don't want it I'll take it somewhere else.

Very good selection of tasty foods and beverages including soups, sandwiches, snacks, pastries, coffees, teas, sodas, juices, etc. Nice staff, clean place. It's rather pricey, but if you aren't on too tight of a budget, you'll probably find items that you will like.

As far as Au Bon Pain goes, I have been to way better. They are not really ever fully stocked. But the employees are nice and sandwiches are good.
