I went on a Thursday evening. It is only open in evenings. It is entirely BYOB, though they provide glasses and ice for a charge. The sushi seemed expensive, at about $3.25 per piece, but it was very good. Rolls are about $4.50 per roll. I had two California rolls and six pieces of sushi in a set dinner, for less than $30.00, not including tip. I was very satisfied with the selection and quality. It is right in Squirrel Hill, but is tiny and so is hard to see.

Amazing traditional Japanese cuisine. Not too pricey for the tremendous quality of the food and the portions provided. Very friendly staff too. Favorite Japanese place in Pittsburgh.

Excellent service! Definitely a good place to go if you want inexpensive and good-tasting sushi. Even if sushi is not your thing, they have plenty of other well-made options. I personally have tried their beef udon and can say it is great. I wish I had taken a picture their presentation is always awesome.

Just absolutely fantastic. I could write this entire post just based on the quality of the sushi rice. Its temperature, tang, and texture were perfect and complement every dish they serve. The fish is fresh and presented in a pleasing manner. The BYOB is an incredibly huge plus as bringing a whole bottle of your favorite drink makes really anything better. The service is over the top good but in no way invasive and is indicative of the quality of people that work at this establishment.

For those who want quantities (out of 5):

    Cost: 4

You will not be disappointed if you appreciate good and authentic Japanese food in a comfortable environment.
