Fat Head's Saloon

Fat Head’s is a local bar and restaurant brewing their own beer and serving an extensive menu of pub food in Pittsburgh’s South Side. Their beer is brewed in Ohio and distributed outside the Pittsburgh area, and everything I’ve had in bottle has been decent. That said, this spot offers a broader variety of brews to choose from.

Expect a local sports bar vibe with exposed brick, plenty of TVs, and service which, in our experience, wasn’t as solid as the beer. The food menu is packed with bar bites like fried pickles (highly recommended), sandwiches, and a few casual entree options. The food is more casual comfort food than sophisticated gastropub grub. The portions are generous and everything we’ve had has been a great value. The smoked wings are a personal favorite, but the Pittsburgh salad is a good, somewhat unique option with crispy fries, grilled peppers and onions, and your choice of protein stacked on a salad.

Overall, this is a great place to grab a beer or cheat meal and catch a game.

We eat here pretty often, good old fashioned comfy food. Service is usually cool, haven't had any issues that weren't immediately taken care of over the gazillion or so visits. We are def repeat customers, especially for take out.

Good food, great beer selection. Sat at bar and server was excellent. She was nice and knowledgeable about beer and food on menu. Nice casual atmosphere with fun decor.

Fat Head's Saloon has some of the best wings over ever tried! You can pick and choose how many and what flavor(s) you want to try which I have never seen before. The inside is really cool and the staff are incredibly nice. I haven't had a chance to try a burger but from the looks of it, it's a must try. The wing flavors are incredible, so tasty, and just downright phenomenal!! They have wing night on Monday's so check it out and give it a shot.
