Best empanadas in town! My husband and I love the food, especially the empanadas (breakfast, beef, and caramel apple). The family that operates it is very friendly. One thing I really like is that they use sustainable plates and cutlery. If you are looking for some good traditional Puerto Rican food come here. It's definitely the best I have found in Pittsburgh.
I was so happy to see a PR carry out come to Pittsburgh!! I have lived her for 4 years and when I am craving PR food I go see my friend in Lancaster and hit the restaurant there. I am happy to say I don't have to make a trip anymore just for food... only thing I would change is more variety to the daily menu and longer hours or a few hours to cover dinner time. Oh and some Pastelas added to the menu ❤❤
I’d suggest going here. The food is delicious and as someone who has lived in Puerto Rico growing up, this place is the closest you will likely get to Puerto Rico here in Pittsburgh.
Note: there is no seating. So you pick up and go. The owners are also really nice. It’s a husband (American)/wife (Puerto Rican) team.
I was ridiculously excited to find out a Puerto Rican restaurant opened up near my home. I'm Puerto Rican and trying out their rice and beans, bistec, and empanadas did not disappoint. It took my back to my grandma’s cooking when I was young. I will frequent this place over and over again The menu is very reasonably priced and makes it easy to buy a variety of different foods to try too. I'm proud of my culture and the people bringing PR to Pittsburgh 🇵🇷
