This was named correctly. After visiting this place twice, I'm convinced that no matter where you're from or where you live this place tastes like home. I love the ever changing specials like I had the joy of trying their s'mores waffle and life hacked it with a piece of crispy fried chicken on top. It was extra but I'm extra so I didn't mind. ‍ The s'mores waffle was fluffy and it had flavor and it was overwhelming in the sweet department. The marshmallow sauce made me feel like a kid and happy inside. The fried chicken was well seasoned and crunchy and paired with the waffle they balanced each other out. I've had chicken and waffles before but never s'mores chicken and waffles. That needs to be a thing like everywhere. And then I returned less than a week later to try this chicken and biscuits meal that had grits with it. This is good food to feed your soul. As Home knows flavors and their food has the right personality. The grits were the right consistency as grits can go wrong very fast if you don't know what you're doing but these guys and gals have it all under control. The biscuit wasn't dry and it married everything on the plate together. This isn't any ordinary fried chicken this chicken was made with love and pickle brine. Honestly, they had me at pickle brine. The worst part about Home is when you actually have to go back to where you came from because time stands still when you're experiencing the food here. I'm excited to try more things from Home as the cooks here cook from the soul.
