Kaya is a cool place. Good food, and can get almost any drink there. My chicken sandwich was really good. Fish tacos are really good, but not everytime. My friend likes their wings. Very nice staff, too. Overall, very good.
I went to this restaurant to look for Jamaican food. I figured by the name Kaya and the red gold and green that it would be a Jamaican restaurant. The food was pretty decent however outside of red gold and green motif no hint of anything to do with Jamaica otherwise. Not even reggae music. Trendy upwardly-mobile crowd. Pretty good service and The conch chowder is out of this world. Also the jerk chicken sandwich was pretty good. If there are Jamaicans here they are probably in the kitchen.
We visited Kaya for a Sunday brunch with a group of nine. The food was very delicious and fresh. Brunch drinks were excellent as well. Service was really good at Kaya.
The experience my girlfriend and I had was marvelous. Every course we had, and we had four, was as good as the last. Everything was fresh and the staff were all of excellent caliber. The cocktails we're no exception! I would highly recommend Kaya, and we will certainly be back.
The food was delicious. The atmosphere was cozy. Be sure to inquire about reservations for large parties. I'd have liked a few more staple offerings like rice and beans or platanos, even if as side options. Considering portions the price was reasonable.
