Mario's Oakland Saloon

My fried chicken sandwich was amazing. Not a lot to choose from on the menu. They keep it simple and good.

The saloon fries had fake cheese but otherwise were good and a huge portion. Fun place for young folks.

Great food and great service. The owner, Louis Pessalano is awesome. Highly recommend this place! V. Fricke.

This is a hugely underestimated good restaurant. The pizza and burger here are extremely delicious. However, the black/dark window of this restaurant prevents people from going inside, people would think it has already shut down just by looking at the appearance of it.

Went here post COVID when it was more of a restaurant than a bar and was pleasantly surprised! We had been to the Shadyside location and were less than impressed but the food here was fresh, the drinks were good and the waitstaff was attentive! She was even super flexible about our group moving tables and allowed us to all get separate checks. The shot pitchers are a little expensive for what you get but the ambiance makes up for it! Would recommend for a quick bite in Oakland!
