We’ve been here on a Sunday morning. It’s a quite relaxed and cozy place and the service was really friendly and fast.
The main reason for our visit was their pumpkin pie - as we are not us citizens this was definitely on our must try list. According to our limited knowledge, the pie was good but probably also nothing too special, cold and ok-sized. However, we’ve figured out that pumpkin pie flavor is just awesome and we have to try another one!
In terms of the normal breakfast, I’d say it’s decent but a bit more expensive.
Usually a really long line to get in here and I dont think it was worth the wait. Others in my party were split on their own experiences there. Some thought the food was unique and worth the time in line, others, like myself, werent overwhelmed with the menu or the atmosphere. Its really tight in there, and I love the idea of the place... come on "Pie for Breakfast", whats not to love. But the prices are bit high for brunch foods, and by the end I didn't have the appetite to shell out more cash for overpriced pie.
Service was fine. My wife loved the greens and black-eyed peas. The eggs and toast were good. The home fries were flavorless however. The pancakes were tasty yet the maple syrup did not seem of good quality or was cut with corn syrup. And the coffee was just plain awful.
The vinegar pie is a must try. Reminds me of pecan pie without the pecans. IDK. Very good. The bread they serve is also very wholesome and delicious. Definitely a wait on the weekends, but worth the experience. Great place. Great pies. Courteous service.
The food here it's delicious and there is nice ambiance.
The food is made with quality ingredients, you get real maple syrup with your pancakes, and fresh ingredients elsewhere.
The place is fairly busy most days but its large enough it's fairly easy to get a seat. There is the window seat and the bar if you are dining alone and booths and tables if you are with folks.
