I have come to this store year after year to pick up traditional Polish foods and I do like visiting this shop because of my Polish heritage but I have seen a change over the years were it has become more commercialized and prices are s bit on the high side so I have reverted back to making our own homemade kielbasa and pierogies . Still a nice shop to visit
Interesting store of authentic Polish foods. Excellent homemade pierogies. They have two picnic style tables for 6-8 people each if you want to try some food.
Stopped in for the first time to look around, ending up eating a light lunch (pierogis with potato and farmers cheese - YUM!) and made a few purchases for a Polish Christmas Eve dinner. Lovely atmosphere and great, helpful staff!
It was 12:34. A brisk Saturday afternoon. My companions and I were in the City of Bridges for the volleyball tournament. One of our group, an enthusiastic connoisseur of Polish cuisine, led us on a city-wide quest that ultimately led to this charming deli. The authentic pierogis and kielbasas were just the warm and hearty pick-me-up our small band of friends needed. We returned, refreshed, to the street with traditional Polish tunes ringing in our ears.
I love this place and I love that I live in a city where a business like S&D Polish Deli can exist.
You don't see many traditional European business outside of maybe Italian. Having grown up eating Polish food, it makes me so happy to see good, authentic Polish food being sold in Pittsburgh.
The meats sold here are absolutely fantastic. The pierogi are the best I've had. I really need to try more from S&D Polish Deli.
