The menu at Spork is built for sharing and trying many different things. The option of getting many dishes in a "tapas" size was perfect for grazing through the menu. Everything was delicious and the service was very prompt and courteous. The charcuterie board was varied with numerous flavors and textures. I will definitely go back to continue working my way through the menu.
I recommend getting a reservation but it's super easy on their website. Great place for a special date. The food is AMAZING and the wait staff and chef are friendly and passionate about food. It's not cheap, but it's not expensive really either. Excellent experience.
Wow. This is one of the best restaurants I've been to in a long time. Every single thing was fantastic. We sent back every plate completely wiped clean. I am not exaggerating. The wagyu skirt steak starter was so good I would eat it every day. The wild mushroom ravioli gave me a warm and comforting feeling inside. Great wine selection with affordable prices. The Sicilian orange wine was great. I also had a vesper cocktail to kick things off and it was perfect. Service was impeccable and the head chef stopped by to ask how things were. I've been to worse places that have a Michelin star and cost a lot more. If this was in New York it'd be twice the price and packed every night.
Loved the perfectly riped, sweet and juicy tomatoes in the mixed green salad. The greens were young and tender, complemented by the chewy and rich trumpet mushrooms and the beautifully cooked egg.
4 stars only because of the$$$ charged for food. Be advised that the "small plates" are exactly that. This being said, the menu selections are awesome. I had quite possibly the best halibut ever. My wife's jerked chicken was as good as it gets. The bartender, Wes, was affable and knowledgeable. A nice way to start our short visit to Pittsburgh.
