No "Taco Tuesday" specials when I arrived but that's okay. I still managed to have a great dinner, selecting two tacos off the menu and including the rice and beans. Friendly service and it's an upscale restaurant.
Brisket was tasty and loaded with meat. Like overloaded. Delicious and flavorful. Fried fish taco (well, we're in Pittsburgh so why not) was just a bit spicy and definitely enjoyable.
New place on 19, decided to run in. Had the shrimp taco I believe and the 1/2 chicken. The taco was wonderful and was very full. A bit on higher side for $ but it was worth it. The chicken was cooked well, but I got the spicy one so heads up it’s not a joke! Very welcoming and friendly staff, took about 15 minutes for food.
This was my first time ordering and it was terrible. I’m not very picky at all. I ordered enchiladas, they didn’t even seem baked like most, seems like only chicken was rolled in the tortilla and then drizzled with sauce. Chicken was odd (not really shredded it seems). The whole dish lacked any flavor really. I usually try a place twice before saying I won’t order again but it is very unlikely. Idk if it’s because I ordered delivery vs dining in. The rest of the food photos look so good online.
Finally… Some outstanding Mexican food in Pittsburgh! Spent some time in Texas where I tried birria and have been chasing that flavor ever since. Tacosburgh had exactly what I have been searching for! The server was amazing, I believe her name was Gabi. She was on top of refills and checking in with us often. The owner was running food out, helping his waitstaff, checking in with tables as well. You can clearly see how passionate he is about his restaurant! I cannot wait to come back for more birria tacos, and look forward to trying the rotisserie menu options!
Our first experience was not bad not great. I had the Birria tacos which were a little dry and the dipping jus didn't have a lot of flavor on its own. The garlic and shrimp tacos were better but didn't have a whole lot of garlic flavor like I was expecting. Ordered the half chicken with mole and it wasn't bad but was just a little bit dry the mole was good a little too much cinnamon though for me. Accidentally instead of the rotisserie chicken they brought out chicken enchiladas which I didn't know that's what they were I thought they were something else they looked pretty but again the chicken inside was a little dry although the sauces were more flavorful. And then I told him I didn't want the rice and they charged us for rice and beans on the rotisserie chicken but we got it taken care of no problem. My biggest issue is how much things cost and they don't even give you chips and salsa.
