The Best and most authentic Sichuan food in PGH. It is now named "Ting's kitchen" with a different owner but the chef and food remained the same and even better!

When you go in, turn to the last page. Order as many items off of there as you have people with you. Really fantastic Sichuan food.
Don't order General Tso's, don't order Lo Mein, don't order anything with sweet or sour in the name. They have the real deal, treat yourself to it.

Written in 2014. No Sq. Hill branch, owner sometimes delivers personally. 2 menus is accurate, an Americanized $6 lunch like every other Chinese restaurant; good and cheap but not the reason to go to China Star.

Go the the last page of their menu and order food that the numerous Chinese families and groups order: hot pots, soups with greens, twice cooked pork belly, whole fish., Experiment. You will enjoy excellent service, and first rate authentic Szechuan foods,

This is the best and only place for great Chinese fare. Food is top notch and nothing hold a candle to it. Their Sichuan menu is addictive.
