Beautiful spot for a make your own hotpot/BBQ. There’s a lot of menu options for proteins and vegetables. Service is amazing here and the ambiance is equally warming. Try not to get carried away with the orders as there is a surcharge for unfinished food.
Really beautifully designed environment - the interior was a sight to see and our group kept commenting, so nice to have a place like this in Pittsburgh!
We primarily came for Korean BBQ (not hot pot). I am going back and checking, but their website does say "Korean style BBQ" not "Korean BBQ" so maybe that's an important distinction? They only offer 2 side options with that, so you do not get the banchan that I'm used to getting at a Korean BBQ.
I asked the waitress at the beginning of they had any additional sides that would come out with the bbq, like kimchi, or rice? And she said yes she could bring a side (one? For the table? LOL) of rice but they didn't have kimchi. Luckily we found kimchi at the sauce bar, and we're able to order a side of rice for everyone, as it's AYCE. You also have the option to get large lettuce leaves and a raw plain vegetable assortment with the BBQ.
If you look forward to things like steamed egg, kimchi stew, pickles radish, fish cakes, etc. you should be aware these do not come with the meal. Surprisingly we also had to ask for metal tongs and scissors, as they brought the raw meat out without them.
I do think there were also a few times our waitress or the kitchen mixed up bringing us an order of meat for hot pot or BBQ (we were only doing BBQ) because the portion sizes shifted dramatically back and forth even when ordering the same item.
Once we got everything settled, we thoroughly enjoyed our meal. It was a very different experience from what I expected but we left with full bellies, and the price is very reasonable.
stopped by for the grand opening and it was well worth the wait! by far the best hot pot and korean bbq experience i’ve ever had! all of the food was super high quality and tasty. the tomato broth was 12/10! and our waiter Christopher was absolutely amazing, probably the nicest waiter we have ever had at any restaurant! we will for sure be back!
We visited today on opening day and it exceeded our expectations! Even before the restaurant opened, they allowed me to call in to reserve a table for 8. The food was incredibly fresh and the styles of broth were so savory! Our server Jason was very attentive and as soon as our order was placed, we received our food within minutes! Even seconds at one point! The boba is so worth the price between quality and quantity you receive. I highly recommend this restaurant and cannot wait to come back! Come in with an empty stomach and you will certainly get your money's worth for $32-$37 for all you can eat.
The atmosphere is absolutely gorgeous inside and the options at the sauce bar had great variety, even directions on how to make certain sauce combinations. If I wasn't so full, I would've loved to try the grill next! You will have a life long customer with this girl right here!
